Problem with skill queuing since Patch.
Are you using Illusionary Inspiration? The signet cast has been messing with my weapon swap. Haven’t tested it with other spells yet but it might be responsible for the second Phantasm not casting.
Yep i am using that trait as wells as blurred inscriptions. Tested without and couldn’t reproduce the problem as often as before.
However as i am aware of the problem this might interfer.
I will test it in usual dungeon runs, where i do not think of it and just use my standard opening rotations for phantasm productions.

I think it’s important to have both the individual threads and an “umbrella” thread, so we can track them more easily (on the ANet side, they have an entire bug-tracking system — on the user side, we have…the forums).

thanks everyone for the info! i searched the forum before but I wasnt’t really thorough.
I bumped the PvP thread since the problem is not restricted to one class.
This is also happening with Engineers. It gets worst when you add toolbelt skills into the mix.

What? Slow condition? That’s a silly presumption. It happens if F1-F5 skills proc a trait that takes the queue spot, making the actual queue not happen.

This issue has nothing to do with slow condition. Anet changed something in the background, and they need to revert it!

The instances of this happening seems diminished for me on Elementalist and Mesmer both when I turn on the new “Lock ground target at maximum skill range” feature, at least as long as the ground targeted AoE’s and blinks go.

Nope. Same old ones. And the whine doesn’t help anything. Try to give them concise info, try to be supportive, try to show off the issue in screenshots and video, and explain it. Tuma, your complaints if anything slow down the fixing process.

Maybe it was a thing of practice instead? Or maybe you changed a trait. The queue-ing issues seem to mostly happen when traits do active effects on F1-F5 skills.

Curious for those results! On engineer it definitely works as soon as you disable Static Discharge. Which sucks, because I need that trait!

As a mesmer, I can confirm this has nothing to do with traits. It happens often whenever I want to use skills quickly one after the other.
It’s not just SD that breaks it. I am running explosives, firearms, and alchemy and I too am having issues with queuing up skills. Especially if I put tool belt skills in the mix.
Huh! Maybe SD just worsens the effect then because it’s an additional cast in the broken queue system!

I noticed skill using problems and UI lagg when they first implemented the First person/FOV UI. There were performance FPS issues with the game itself but they fixed it a bit after. Skill lagg and the way skills cancel out changed in that patch for me, kinda ruined the game they don’t que and flash anymore like some stated. I was thinking it would be fixed by now I tend to play less because it ruins event tagging. I can only use instants even then they don’t always work have to click like mad (AOE commands from a distance are almost useless in large groups of players.) Anyone notice after that patch specifically? I for sure saw this issue start to happen after that BETA UI patch.

Any update to this? It’s really making it a nightmare for me to play. To queue up skills, I have to spam the button to make sure it activates immediately after. For example, as a mesmer, I queue up duelist, magic bullet, and confusing images. For each of these, I have to press the skill 2-3 times in succession for it to activate immediately on completion.
The problems is also evident when wanting to use a skill after dodging. Previously I could press a skill mid dodge and it would activate when the dodge was over. Now I need to spam it repeatedly to make sure it starts.
Any update to this? It’s really making it a nightmare for me to play. To queue up skills, I have to spam the button to make sure it activates immediately after. I was playing with this a bit today and if you start a sequence of skills it will always skip the same skills in the sequence (at least for me).
For instance, on Ele with Fire, Water, Arcane lines selected but NO major traits chosen it always skipped the following skills per weapon set:

I toyed with a few more randomized queues and it always skipped the same ones in those less organized sequences, too. The only thing I really noted offhad from glancing at this is for some weapons when you reverse the queue order it still skips the same skills (ex: 3, 4 / 2, 3).
I hope this gets fixed soon, can’t do most of my combos with this bug.
