howcome when i get out of heart of the mists (spvp) i still have my pvp weapons equiped in in the normal world. Am i supposed to manually switch every time i go in and out of pvp?

Same here. It appears you don’t actually need the PvP UI for anything, as you can swap your weapons to exactly the same effect in your inventory, and the same is true for your PvP build (which shows up in the hero panel if you’re in the mists, but as far as I remember doesn’t inform you that you’re looking at the PvP build now).
