I just got this bug. I had a batch of spiderlings spawn after the veteran spider was dead as well. I tried running back through the level a few times, TAB-ing as I went, but there were no enemies. I even tried killing all the earth elementals around the Pact base at the start of the mission, but this didn’t trigger anything.

I can confirm this bugs existence. I just ran into it tonight on my 64 norn mesmer. I killed the spiderlings and veteran spider, followed the pack bull to the bridge, watched the team set up the mortars and then nothing. Objective remains ‘escort the artillery team to the battleground’ and a waypoint is stuck on the bridge. I believe a cutscene is suppose to start but the npcs stand in formation in front of the bridge not responding. I tried running up and down along the path searching for enemies, and even went down into the valley below the bridge. Attempting to restart the mission now, not sure what other information to include.

Okay so it seems the trick is that you need to be with the pack bull the entire time. If you wait with the extra spiders or go back for the loot, the squad gets stranded at the bridge and the cutscene never starts.

I wish Jeffrey Vaughn worked on the tPvP side of things, we need you bad over here!

I am very appreciative of your quick response Jeffrey. Unfortunately since completing the mission, I am unable to lend more aid other than memories and screenshots.

There were 5 artillery pieces, none of them could be interacted with. No npcs were near the mortars, they were all standing at the bridge. If I can provide any more information please post back.

Still bugged, can’t get pass the bridge.

I just hit this bug today. I killed the spider, but ran into some hatchlings just afterwards. I killed those, and ran down to find the full set of people and the pack marmox standing at the edge of the bridge doing nothing.

The quest is still stuck at the escort step, there are no possible people to interact with other than basic dialog.

The scenario is stopping at the point where the mortars are supposed to set up.
Right as the champion spider is killed a few hatchlings appear. At that same moment one of the soldiers yells to set up the mortars. Instead of setting up the mortars the soldiers fight the hatchlings and then they all regroup right before the bridge and just stand there.

quest still bugged. all NPC’s standing before the bridge, won’t interact.

This quest remains bugged. I kill the veteran spider, and remain to finish off the hatchlings. I finish and follow up to the bridge — pack animal and team are all standing there but do not set up mortars.

I am getting the same issue and the troops are placed just as they are in the image posted previously.

There are no enemies around (even under the bridge so not sure what these are supposed to be shooting), no Mortars have been deployed. We have no troops left behind awaiting revival and no one will talk to me beyond the normal pointless replies.

There were a huge number of enemies getting here to the degree I though the mortars were to be used killing them but they would not deploy before hand.

Getting this bug as well. Exactly as the image posted above in the thread.

This mission is still bugged. Exact same thing happened to me earlier. Got to the bridge, killed all enemies and the npcs stand there not moving a bit.
