Yep—not happy with the change and don’t know if it is a bug or if it was intended. That being said it needs to be changed back but the fact that were aren’t being informed either way is inexcusable imho.

I can see these threads being merged and that would concern me too.

I would also like to at least get an explanation about that… Is it a bug? Is it intentional? Hope to hear an answer here

This is just unacceptable.. it’s almost a week soon and no progress on the pet bug, what bothers me is the silence on Anet’s part about the whole situation, it’s really not helping when many players play rangers, what do you think new players which you are trying to get to play the game are gonna think? specially the ones who want to play the ranger? this is bad rep for them with the whole expansion coming out soon.

We are talking about a bug that breaks the mechanic of the class itself, because like it or not, pets are the core mechanic of the ranger class, imagine if a mesmer couldn’t shatter or use his clones? that would be pretty bad. At least let us know what is going on with this so many of us can get some sense of relief.

Another bug fix, no rangers in there.
And no replies from support via mail (request #1359986, 17 march).

Yeah.. no change yet, i was hoping it would get fixed, i guess not.

yup they are ignoring us rangers … im thinking of making a macro that will always hit f3

i feel your pain man, it sucks a lot when doing dungeons, the f3 thing is annoying.

Like our beloved Prince Rurik from GW1, my ranger pet now rush to attack everything I attack, even when he is put on a leash with the “avoid combat” option.

Could you please fix this as soon as possible?

New Patch Notes: we have removed the ranger profession from the game.

Well, there is always tomorrow and the day after that and then maybe when Hot comes along we will get more bugs.

Please fix this problem. Can’t do dungeon runs at all because of this.

lol, this reference gave me a good laugh, because it’s so true.
We should all name our pets after Prince Rurik until this is fixed. xD

I main a ranger and I can still run dungeons, but yeah, it can be very annoying at times, like in TA, where my pet popped all blossoms and killed a team mate because I couldn’t keep him by my side.

Rangers are the most broken class in this game. They won’ t fix it guys.
Just ignore ranger class and play another class to have fun

Having Ranger as the only character I play I feel very upset by a lot of things the recent patches have caused, not only the pets.

They screwed up big time.

I have writen an ingamereport and two reports over the website (two accounts, me and my girlfriend). If there will be any response i will tell you.

The bug is horrible. My girlfriend is a rangerlover. She has 5 rangers on lvl 80 and is struggeling really hard with this issue. Yesterday she refused to run dungeons and fraktals with the guildis, because she is afraid of wiping the party because the pet goes leeroy… It is sad to see her losing fun on the game.

And i was concidering to participat on the pvp-ladder-test. I am most experienced with the ranger in pvp (and have the most fun). Now i can hardly participat because in worst case i will be a big hindrance to my team because my pet is out of control.
