Just as an update we are taking this very seriously. We’re implementing some fixes internally and if they work out we’ll push those fixes live. This is an obscure bug so it’s taking time to fix, and we want to be sure it’s squashed for good.

Lauren is right, I wasn’t clear. This patch will fix the existing areas that have problems. What we are still looking into is why they are happening and what we can do to prevent new ones in the future. I believe we’ve found it, if so then you’ll never see these again. If not we will keep fixing them and working towards a permanent solution.
Phew I saw this and thought something was seriously wrong with my Mac “beta” game client.. thanks for clarifying and fixing it.

Is this still happening after yesterday’s patch? If so can you give me some locations? There were fixes for at least four areas yesterday
Hello,
I see one only so far outside of Provenic? Trail in Queensdale. That seems to be the only one left on my map as the others are now gone.
Maybe it took a little while to propagate to me as I saw them all over after the update, but today they seem to have almost all disappered.
If I run into any I’ll let you know.

Shaman’s Rookery today in Wayfarer Foothills. Going for Nevermore. Tier 3 precursor crafting is going to be blinding with excitement :p
Tears of Itlacol is as well. I am guessing every mini dungeon has the problem. This one is particularly bad because I can not see the pattern to solve the puzzle. I am stuck on precursor progression.

Confirming Shaman’s Rookery. In game as I’m posting this, the cave is lit up like it has floodlights built into the walls.
Addendum: It’s not just the interior, but the exterior of that area/cell that suffers this lighting effect.

Really shiny place at Unseen Scratch. No wonder the Skritt love it there so much!
I wanted to chime in and report that I have also seen this on Shaman’s Rookery and Tears of Itlaocol and cannot progress my precursor collection. Hope to see a fix for this very soon
Just wanted to report another area that’s still having the issue, the JP at Shama’s Rookery. I saw the lighting problem here before, but it was just outside the JP and ended once you got inside the cave. Now it seems to have spread inside as well.
Edit to add it makes it really hard to see the AOE rings around the ravens when you’re trying to do the JP.
Is the team even trying to solve this bug or are they letting it stay like the Revenant and Dungeon bugs? We haven’t got any sort of feedback after the supposed “fix”

Ok, so, we got a bugfix today and Anet completely ignored this issue… Bumping this so they don’t forget they have a job to do.
