Revenant Personal Story Bug- Forming the Pact
I had exactly the same issue on my revenant. (And until now I thought I had just not paid enough attention to the story, because I had no idea who Apatia was.)
Having the same issue on my revenant, I should be on Delivering Justice from “dishonored my allies” and yet instead, I have the Liberating Apatia quest whom I’ve NEVER had any mention of in this character’s story.
Just did the “Battle of Fort Trinity” mission myself and noticed the same thing. I didn’t know that the Pale Tree conversation chose a mission for you based on your fear so I didn’t even realise I was getting the wrong missions until Trahearne started talking about Apatia and gave me the “Liberating Apatia” mission at the end. I had to look up who she was on the wiki. I’m not 100% sure which fear I picked during the conversation, but either way I’m getting missions that don’t connect properly.
I’m playing a ranger though, created within the last 2 weeks so it’s not an issue carried from an old character, so I don’t think it’s revenant specific.
I first noticed this today, and it’s the 2nd or 3rd char I’ve noticed it on. 1 was a sylvari revenant interestingly enough, but the first one to actually go through the whole chain was my Norn Engi. I picked “let an innocent suffer”, but worked out all wonky.
My early missions regarding the “biggest fear” seem to be the ones given for “Dishonor”, but after the Fort Trinity mission, I had the find Apatia mission sequence like “innocent suffer” was chosen. Was pretty jarring, I didn’t even know who Apatia was, as someone else mentioned.
I couldn’t find any other hits for this on google, is it that rare of an issue?
I just had this happen a few days ago with a Human Necromancer. I don’t think it’s related to Revenants or Sylvari specifically.
Did some googling, apparently the personal storyline around here has been broken since launch and never worked: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Got-thrown-into-another-storyline-now-in-game-support-ignores-me
I guess most players are just accustomed to RPG storylines not making any sense and ignored it. XD
