Look at the nodes of the new Yakona rat lady too please. TOO many spawn points for that bounty as well. Make fighting the bounties the tough part not finding the things and wasting hours of time of medium size guilds with only 20-25 max to do bounty.

Sotzz and Yanonka are the dumbest things in the entire game right now, which is an incredible achievement. Worse than rangers.
It’s kind of annoying that some of the “hard to find” bosses are spawning in t1 and even t2 bounties as well. I help out a tiny guild who has just enough people with help to do these bounties and Yakona or Sotzz usually means automatic failure if they spawn even on t1. The “hard to find” bounties should really only spawn on t3 bounties.

In a month? And why wasn’t this picked up as an issue before release anyway? It was patently obvious as soon as I saw it happening for the first time after the change that sotzz was going to be almost impossible to find unless you were incredibly lucky.

I managed to kill Sotzz and Mayana with my guild since the changes, but yeah, it’s a bit too much now. Mayana is still so-so, although the boss might have a tad less HP for its finding mechanics, but Sotzz and Yanonka are both pretty ridiculous if you don’t have 100 people online, doing the bounty. I mean – it’s still 15 minutes for 6 targets, even if you do pre-find five of them and ask your people to split to kill them faster, you’re still down to only a few minutes to find and then kill a zerg-scaled champion.
All in all, the guild missions were a great addition, and bounties are fun and challenging at the same time, even for bigger guilds. Except for Sotzz and Yanonka.

Because they got lucky with spawn maybe or they have 100+ members looking for him or it’s not bugged on their server. Sottzz on SoS with 3 20-30 man guilds looking for him last 2-3 times has failed. It’s gotten to the point that when we see him on the list we just go farm orr and then requeue another tier3 until him or the ratlady yakona aren’t on the list. both of these require 50+ members to scout which isn’t possible unless you have 75+ active during your prime time.

This one is pretty much a guaranteed fail for us. I think we got him twice ever out of I don’t know how many times.
I run a small guild on Dragonbrand and it seems like this bounty is a penalty for not having 50+ active members. We have run 4 tier 1 bounties with 10 people or less and we had our first fail last night because of Sotzz. We did manage to find him with 1 min to go, but by the time the guild member typed in chat that he had him and linked a WP he had despawned.
There are a couple of issues with Sotzz in his current conditon, the first one is his respawn mechanic, there are way too many spawn locations. Secondly what was wrong with his original design? He used to spawn in a location and stay there if found. Seriously who thought a 2 sec despawn timer was a good idea? With only 15 min to find and kill the bounties, the Dev’s are forcing us to prescout for the Bounties. And not only that but we have to compete against the large guilds, as they do not seem to like sharing bounty locations.
Bounties are a fun new mechanic and me and my guild really do enjoy them, but when they are broken like Sotzz the Dev’s are essentially penalizing small guilds that do not spam map chats for members.

Like many other guilds, if Sotzz is popped then we just wait it out and try to reactivate after 15 minutes. Current despawn time is way too short. If you are lucky enough to even find him.
It was hard enough in his original state, but now he is just nearly impossible.
These bounties really are not as fun as I had first hoped/expected.
I just did Sotz on JQ and yanonka a few days ago and in both cases the barrels/rats did not spawn at all.
Other problems with Scallysucks is that the barrels do not show up until you are within 600 range or so. That makes them very hard to find, as you need to scrape the walls.
If you have large guilds fail on him small guilds, trying for a bounty training, will fail for sure. That’s 300 influence out the window which hurts for small guilds.

Why have these not been disabled from the list of possible targets? If it’s not going to be immediately fixed this is the next best option. Right now it’s wasting a lot of guilds’ influence and time, not to mention cheating them out of possible merits.
Two weeks in a row on Tier 1, failed both times. :C This —really-- hurts as a smaller guild.

Anthony can’t you at least disable him from the bounty list? I’ve had sotzz 3 times in a row on t2 bounty and we have failed them because his despawn timers are broken (disappearing way too quickly).
Just a bump for this as well. We failed a bounty last night because the first two times someone found Sotzz he reset before they could get it started, nobody tried to wait, we knew he despawned quickly so it’s not like they tried to put off triggering him. I understand not wanting him to be able to be held for an hour but please give us something like 5 minutes. Enough time for a solo scouting player to clear out the mobs that probably aggroed near the barrel and actually link a waypoint or poi for the rest of the group.
We also experienced having no rats spawn for Yanonka last week. I’m wondering if it’s related to the guild ui bug that we noticed was around for the zones that our Trek circles didn’t show up in.
Everyone loves the guild missions but the way the bounties currently work it’s such a gamble that we will probably never run them again for merits (for the personal rewards for 1 kill sure) once we don’t have new missions to unlock.
You gotta admit though, in theory this would have sounded fun. But yeah, they kinda took it over board lol
Last night on Blackgate I was running around Gendarren on my low lvl Necro and decided to kill a boar. While I was doing so a barrel spawned next to us both. Needless to say it got destroyed about the same time the boar did. Bad minions.
My heart sank when out popped Sotzz. I knew a guild was hunting him and so I called out in /map exactly where he was and linked the WP.
Sotzz was there exactly 60seconds before disappearing. I never did get an answer in /map and no one ever showed up to engage him. I can only assume that guilds have written Sotzz off.
My guild hasn’t gotten Sotzz yet but the ones we do get have led to many failures (Big Mayana and a few others with random spawns). In fact my guild isn’t doing the bounties this week. I believe that the last 3 tries resulted in failures so they are putting it off for now.

Tonight we allready spent 2 T3 bounties and we failed both only because of Sotzz.
We had the combined effort of HzH and EMP roaming over Gendarran field and fielded well over 100 people on that map to find that barrel. It was simply impossible to find it.
If 100 ppl can’t find it in ~20minutes, then something is broken.

Given the fight mechanic I don’t think they will spawn underwater. They probably won’t spawn in the jumping puzzle or mini dungeon either since that would be a very kitten move even on top of what Sotzz is. That being said you have to walk close enough to actually see the barrels. The labels appear before the barrels. Neither ctrl nor alt will help.
