Quest: I was on “Assult the Hill” then got a quested to go and join the vigil. After I joined the vigil I was put on to a level 48 quest called “Forewarned is Forearmed” I was only level 28 at the time.

Additional info: I was in a group with a friend who was not affected, only myself.

Fixing this would be great.

has anyone had there issue resolved is there and ETA only curious as to what to play as i am already 5 levels above the quest arc, i know about level scaling but i like to do them when i’m at level or try them when i’m a bit under.

i appreciate AN have a lot to do at the moment but a little feedback would be nice

• Lvl 70 story: I picked be responsible for the death of an innocent. and my questline changed to leave a friend to suffer after clicking “Proceed” on a prompt that came up on the "The Battle for Fort Trinity" quest that I joined my friend on.

• My questline went from "Breaking the Bone Ship" to "The Battle for Fort Trinity", then to "Liberating Apatia" after the Proceed prompt was clicked.

Was on step Assault the hill pre lvl 30 quest chain then upon reading mail it sent me i was skiped to Forewarned is Forearmed (48).

Not sure if any of this matters but i read the letter in the dungen before exiting and was in a group for the quest when it happened. The dungen owner was my husbands toon Knyte Draco. His quests progressed as normal but he also waited untill after exiting dungen to read letter.

3. We both have been doing the personal story together since the start of the game.
4. We were both on the step called: The Trap
5. This is where my personal story screwed up and went to step: Suspicous Activity (48)
6. Ziranya personal story correctly went to step: Stealing Secrets (i don’t know the quest level)
7. As the leader Ziranya picked Order of Whispers, as I was not able to pick as I was not the leader. This the point it did seem to screw up or right after this.

The person who started the quest does not have the same issue, his story is fine.
My story jumped to “Forewarned is Forearmed” a level 48 quest.
I do not recall having to make a choice, mainly as i was not in control of the instance, all i did was click to accept and continue with my story.

Is this possible to fix or would i have to delete and remake a new character in order to do the jumped parts?

I had chose the Ogre story line, but the next day when I did it, I was on the Frog one instead. Very frustrating as I did not want to do the Frogs, but gave up on Anet resolving this in a timely manner, so completed it to move on. =(

I am playing with my friend and it skipped me, i never got to meet with destinys edge, it wasnt part of my quest chain. I have been helping him in his story, but im fed up with helping and not being rewards at all. This is very upsetting and discouraging.

Lvl 28 story quest : I should have gotten [A Tangle of Weeds] but I got [Flower of Death], the Vigil line instead.

Additional info: During the quest [A Bad Apple] I chose the Order of Whispers and when I signed on the next day I leveled to 30 and I was changed to the Vigil. I was in a party where we both had chosen the same story/path, but for some reason they stayed Order of Whispers and I was the only one who got Vigil.

I’m a bit confused…

Husband and I made the exact same choices pretty much since we joined the Order of Whispers, did storylines together, just accepting the other’s progress.

Forging the Pact bugged out on us. He initiated and I couldn’t choose to progress my story at the end. So we did it again with me initiating.

My story sends me to Shell Shock (64) as the next step. His sends him to Striking Off the Chains (64). I’m not sure we did anything to warrant different steps…?

I was partnered with my wife and it was her instance, not mine. I got the update to go to Lion’s Arch for the “Stealing Secrets” quest, but once I entered Lion’s Arch, it jumped, however it didn’t for my wife’s character. Hope that helps!

Chose the path with Apatia and was supposed to progress to ‘Liberating Apatia’ after the story quest but was instead changed to the path of Tonn, ‘A Sad Duty’.

Affected character: Twizted Shogun (Human Thief now lvl 45 was around lvl 32 at the time)
Leading character: Deathshadowdancer (Human necromancer believe now level 37)
Deathshadowdancer started the mission “The Trap (30). When entering Lion’s Arch, Mission changed to Suspicious Activity (48).

I really hope my character level won’t get affected in the fix.

Not to be rude but as others have said, numerous times I might add, they were in a party with someone when they tried to join. The person getting the quest jump is the person tagging along and the “host” is fine. Pretty sure it was mostly in LA.

It doesn’t take much to figure this out. This fix feels like it has been stalled. We feel ignored. Don’t even get me started on the first response of “Hey it’s fixed but your character can’t be.”

In a frustrating situation it’s best to not to make it worse with stuff like this. All we need to know is without a shadow of doubt that it can be retroactive fixed for characters. We don’t just want you to fix the bug, fix our characters.

I was in a party when the choice was made to join an order (the Vigil), and I was NOT the owner of the instance.

Character Name: Lillis Magestorm
Server: Yak’s Bend
Story Step: My journal jumps from Silent Warfare (30 or so) to On Red Alert (48.)

I and my wife were partied, and my wife was the initiator – character name Eile Stormbow. We did Dredging Up the Past (31-33) and at the end, it didn’t give me the choice to forward my own quest, it jumped me forward to 48.

This is game breaking for both of us, since we are doing the story line exclusively together. She won’t advance her quest without me.
