Guild Wars 2

Tried the hatchery 3 times now. it shows the first 2 skritt to be rescued, theit gets to one the second and it says its friend is dead. nothing after that. have cleared the whole area and nothing else. What am i doing wrong?

10 times for me. The problem is on the thrid skritt do nothing. I gave up until they fix this bugged.
Any suggestion?

in todays update notes it says that the bugg is fixed… but it still doesn’t work

i tried yesterday before the update. i tried this morning, and i just tried again and still the same results. i rescue the first set just down the hill the i get the second on off by himself, the go up to the third one and save him but his buddy is dead. after that nothing comes up or no circle, or no next step

Tchkik last to find/save

Same here… tried 2 times, rescuing them in different order – same thing.
Only thing that’s changed was that if I spoke to Vrackan after reviving the other Skritt, the line “Rescue Tchkik and the other scouts” appeared twice on the story log.
After speaking to Vrackan, one of these lines disappeared, but the quest is still a dead-end.

Same here. Quest does not update when I reach the last Skritt.
Any update on the matter ?

I have also done this quest multiple times from scratch. The order indicated on saving the skritts appears to be brought up on the mini-map one named skritt at a time with a green circle appearing on each named skritt in turn. The last of the 3 named skritt talks about his poor dead friend and then …nothing. No objective, no exit, nada! I have tried clearing the map of all “hot-rock” creatures. The ooze continues to respawn over and over, nothing seems to move the quest forward.

This is bugged for me as well. I first rescue Vrackan, then Yiktuk and it says “Rescue Thckik and the other scouts” is completed (written three times in my log). Thckik talks about her friend being dead but it stops there. What’s more, Yiktuk somehow disappears. He’s not dead in the room somewhere, just gone.

Same problem here. Regardless of my progress through the mission, I get stuck at the last skritt. The item of the quest is grayed out, but nothing happens from that point on. Serious blocker.

yeah after we arrive near the 3rd skiritt nothing else happens, so its bugged i guess

Well, a fix is great, however, is there any workaround available or do we have to wait for a patch before we can move on in our story line?

If someone finds a workaround plz tell us I don’t want to be stuck here

Yep, this is frustrating. I’d go do halloween stuff til its fixed, but there wasn’t enough of it out yet to keep busy for twenty minutes, let alone til november. Hopefully there will at least be more halloween stuff released soon if we can’t complete a story quest :\

Just tried to do this twice, thought i had to clear all the destroyers, ending up searching and found this. I guess ill get in the line and wait it out….

This is nuts all i want to do is continue the story line which I cant and we may have to wait till NOV to get a fix . Not Good

I Do “The Hatchery” about 15 times but nothing -.- please fix it

Same problem here. Tried around 10 times and still no go. Just a tad bit frustrating.

Hmmm …… I should had taken option 2 :/
Now I have to park the buggered toon and wait untill november.
Only good thing is …there’s no monthly fee :p

same problem with my toon. Can’t finish the quest after initiating dialog with last skritt. Nothing happens, just oozes respawn.
Pls, push update fixing this ASAP, waiting till November update is ….. unacceptable :/

Just complete the buged stage of the quests 4 us admin

I don’t understand how this is not a priority fix. I can’t complete my storyline quest with this broken

24.10.2012 – Still Bugged :/ Try to 5 times , no continuing…

This is a major showstopper for the personal story chain, and they’re saying it wont be fixed until “sometime in november”? We’ve seen smaller hotfixes go out. This is my first real issue with the game up to this point but wow… just… wow.

How about in exchange for this snafu you guys give us some gems? I would like to have a silver lining on this dark cloud.

so what are we supposed to do make a new character do 45 levels over and pick the different option just to continue our story

Got the same problem, i submitted a in-game report after repeating the story 2 times and getting stuck same place.

My theory is that thicaki is to devastated to go on after tikittas unfortunate dead and thereby making the entire story hanging in idle. kitten skritt’s!

I just tried not even 10 minutes ago for my 10th try in 2 days its still not fixed be awesome if it was so i could ya know progress before i hit 80… -_-"

im about to try it again for whatever reason. i just want to finish it… we just had an update why couldnt it have gotten thrown in with this little bugfix patch?

This bug is indeed pretty annoying.
I don’t understand why a bug which blocks story proggress is not a priority…

ok so we have to wait till 5th of nov :/ if it was not a show stopper of a bug i would not mind but it kind of is think you need to get this out in a quick patch not the one on 5th tbh

Bugged for me as well. Submitted a report a few days ago. Will wait patiently.

Appreciate the updates, but if the QA team didn’t catch the bug in testing why do we have to wait until they review and approve the fix? I can’t progress. Can it get any worse?

I’m having the same problem, and it’s frustrating. I hope you give us some kind of gift, gems, or extra space on the bank, or an extra slot for a character… You know, something for the trouble. It would be nice from you. Aside from this, it’s a very nice good game.
