Thief Bugs (Post-Patch)
Hope a dev notices this ASAP because there has been several hotfixes and none have addressed these problems.
Also, the condi clear from Trickster removes a condition after the healing portion of withdraw, which means that instead of removing poison and then healing, withdraw will heal with reduced healing before removing poison.
This is NOT how condition clear on heal traits should work.
1.No Quater
This Trait only gives 250 Ferocity for self applied Fury, fury from other Sources doesnt give the bonus.
2. Practiced Tollerance
This Trait only converts Base Stats to Ferocity and ignores things as Food buffs Banners Spotter
3. Keen observer & Flawless Strikes
Both Traits dont show up as bonus in the Hero panel, are they even working? Hidden Killer for example does show up as 100% increase.
With this Traits not working correctly a Thief currently does less damage in some situations than it should. This are mainly Traits that get used a lot in the PvE Meta.
- “Consume plasma” – mesmer’s stolen item grants all boons for 10 secs but stability for 2 secs and retailation for 3 instead of 10 secs.

Pretty sure it’s always been like that, atleast with stability. Could be wrong though.

psst dont tell them ;D i really hope they keep this functionality as its only really usefull if the team has no prestacked fury cause otherwise the thief fury will just be to late
I’m not stealthed when using shadow refuge – happened twice within half an hour – not revealed, not knocked out of SR, just randomly visible.
Edit: should’ve added that that was in Eternal Battlegrounds.

Withdraw still has not had it’s base heal increase by 10% as promised, meanwhile we sit here with the 3sec cd nerf.
so apparently the 250 ferocity for everybody that got fury from thrill of the crime got fixed but fury applied from others still doesnt give the thief any ferocity.
Since it seems that this topic merges all bugs for thief profession, I will paste here the ones I described in a topic long lost.
Deadly Trapper trait doesn’t work correctly.
Ambush – doesn’t work at all, not giving any Might, not applying any Vulnerability.
Shadow Trap – doesn’t work as intended, not giving any Might (only base 10 stacks from the trap itself, as if not traited – with trait it should give 15 (10 for 10s, 5 for 8s)), but applying 5 stacks of Vulnerability.
Tripwire – it works correctly, giving 5 stacks of Might and applying 5 stacks of Vulnerability.
Needle Trap – it works correctly, giving 5 stacks of Might and applying 5 stacks of Vulnerability.

Additional note: Not-traited Shadow Trap has a skillfact saying it applies 8 stacks of Vulnerability for 5 seconds. It does not apply any Vulnerability. Shadow Trap traited with Deadly Trapper still has a skillfact about 8 stacks of Vulnerability for 5 seconds AND 5 stacks of Vulnerability for 8 seconds from the trait. Only the trait’s Vulnerability applies.

Critical Shots-Mastery-Ankle shots
Reads “Critical hits with pistol and harpoon skills have a chance to cripple foes. Pistol and harpoon attacks deal increased damage to crippled foes.”
When you equip Ankle Shots, Shadow shot’s base damage decreases. In addition, all pistol skill range is increased. Example, shadow shot goes from 900 range to 1200 range.
Base damage changes from 1037 to 988
Equipment is Marauder’s amulet and vamp runes- if that affects anything. See screen shots below.

I’m interested to see this topic, as I’m currently leveling up my first thief and I’m really struggling with it, as some of the skills and traits don’t seem to work, or don’t do what they’re supposed to anyway. One of the biggest problems I’m having is that things that are supposed to apply vulnerability, don’t apply any, which is making it very difficult to learn any useful rotations or take down mobs by any means other than just 111111111111
