I’ve bought the Wizard’s hat time ago and after the patch it doesn’t show up and the box show/hide is missing.

Here is the proof;

I was ready to make a similar post too. The hide/unhide box is missing and the hat doesn’t show when you have it equiped.

And i wanted to stroll around with my Wizard hat riding the broom

Same thing here. The hide/unhide button disappeared and, since I set my hat on invisible a bit before the patch I’m now stuck without town headpieces. Nothing gamebreaking but worth noticing.

For some reason my head part of my town clothes will not appear. Iv tried everything from restarting to buying new hats, nothings fixing it. Dunno..

i also have had this problem, brought some cool sunglassers to go with my new witches broom, just for fun and was wondering why i can’t see the glassers on my toon, so happy this bug has been revealed, hopefully it will get fixed soon XD thanks

Hi,
I bought the pirate costume from the Gem Store but can’t see the equiped hat, and in fact…no equipped helmet will show (like the bunny ears), no head piece will display anymore. I can see it in the preview window but not on my actual character in game world.
I asked some friends of mine and EVERYBODY seem to have the same problem. Seems like a general bug. Impossible to display town hats anymore, or dye town clothes…
PLEASE fix this ASAP, as I purchased costume parts with real money I cannot use

I have this problem too. Pretty annoying. Town hats, glasses, bunny ears etc isn’t visible for my main character :I
Some reason my alt(s) still has visible horns etc. :p

EDIT: I believe it’s because we used to be able to switch city headgear on/off (like armor headgear even today) before, thus if it was off it stayed off after that feature was taken from us. Since my ranger, which, can’t use those anymore had her city hat as invisible while my other characters it was visible.

yea, I cant see my aviators I just bought, and now can’t see my earmuffs or anything else that i could before.

I’m not sure if anyone pointed this out yet, but the tick-box is gone for town clothes head slot. You cannot turn on or off your head item.

As it doesn’t change your stats, you can put it on/off ;-) so it’s rather cosmetic…
If you buy/put on the headgear you probably want it visible… ;D

It has been 17 days… please get it done? Its not as annoying as the ranger boxes, but still half a month…. common, you can be better than that!

None of the existing Town Clothing Hats (Bunny Ears. Mad King Hat etc) appear on my Charr when I equip them. I can only see them in the preview.

This is really annoying cause I payed for something that doesnt appear.

So you guys want to sell items on gem store yet this bug seems to be low priority for you guys. Is this that hard to fix?

same thing for me, have a male human thief, can preview aviator sunglasses, they just wont appear when equiped.

Yes, I would like an update on this. I’d like to be able to see items I purchased on my character. -_-

This is -still- broken as of the big patch today.

Most of us paid real money for this stuff and can’t use them; it would be nice if we could get compensated or a refund for this considered how long it’s been going on now.

I suppose that means it’s not going to be fixed until the March patch, then…?

So..yeah I paid alot for my hats. They are mine and I bought them. Now you have rendered my product useless. Am I now entitled to ask for compensation?

I know there are lots of more important bugs to fix, but when you have paid money for a hat it would be nice to see it :P

^ what he said. I won’t spend another dime (an actual one, as those gems i used were from a card I bought) until they fix this, I don’t care what new shiny things they have next patch, or what’s on sale.

As stated above; this issue needs to be sorted out, especially with the 30-day sale going on.

This bug is actively discouraging me from buying from the gem store, when I honestly would have. Today I would have jumped in line to grab the Aviator’s, but with this bug and no ETA on a fix; I’m not.

Are Asura not meant to wear town headgear? Was it disabled? For some time now, before the latest big update, I haven’t been able to wear my hat because there’s no checkbox there at all.

It’s not just asura, it’s any race with headgear. One of the updates introduced a bug that took out the checkbox. If it were marked hidden, you can’t display any headgear. It’s been like this for a while, I don’t know why it hasn’t been just fixed yet.

Thanks for the topic everyone… I thought for the longest time it was only me. Looking for to the fix so I can wear my Aviator’s cap!

Glad I had this ticked on and …shouldn’t you stop selling town head gear until this is fixed?

The box to display the hats for town clothes is not there.

I can’t believe this bug hasn’t been fixed in a month’s time. That’s an unacceptable turnaround time.

Why can we still buy head items in the shop if you aren’t going to fix it to be usable?

Nice, new town stuff released yesterday, Riding stuff etc… looks cool, would totally buy a set if they had bothered to fix this.

Yup. We all seem to be suffering from this. I could log onto each of my characters but no checkbox to be seen. It’s especially frustrating since my Charr thief can’t look dashing anymore without his top hat. And this has been going for a long while now!

I am also having this issue as a human.

The checkbox was marked to not display before whatever patch removed it, and now I can’t display any town clothing head gear on him. Hopefully they’ll re-introduce the check box at some point – I see no reason why they would remove it intentionally.

If this topic has already been posted, I apologize for pestering y’all and for my lack of searching skills.

Since the patch that included the removal of the final Wintersday seller, I’ve been unable to click a hide/unhide button on the headwear of the clothing section.

It’s not a problem with a permanent on – I can always just remove the item. But a couple of my characters/toons had the box unchecked when the patch took effect and now, no matter what I’ve tried, the hats do not show up.

Is this happening to others, or is my account the only lucky one?

This is the merged thread, so expect your topic to be merged into it. It is a still on-going issue that may eventually be taken care of. A rep in this linked merged thread has stated that it is being worked on, but did not get completed in time for the recent patch, though it may be in the March 26th patch. I can only recommend waiting until that patch is released to see if the fix is included in it.

As of the patch today, 3/15, this is -still- broken.

As though to rub salt into the wounds, the very same item I purchased 2 months ago and could not use is now on sale.

This is getting ridiculous and out of hand, especially with sales on now unusable and broken items. Will we see any sort of ETA or compensation for lost money/time with our items?

I for one would like the sale difference in price of the Inventor’s Sunglasses credited to me in gems, since I haven’t been able to use them since I purchased them regardless.
