to be more specific:
There is a window period in which you can blast combo fields.
As soon as the field appears you should be able to blast it for the combo.

Engineer turret related blasts OR finishers seem to have a different or shorter time in which you can make the combo.

Example: Healing Turret > Overcharge (Cleansing Burst) > Blast, won’t work.
Since you have to wait for the next interval to trigger, which is every 3 seconds. But the combo field animation isn’t accurate with timewindow in which you can blast it.

The same SEEMS to apply for the toolbelt skill (Regenerating Mist) but in my testing, sometimes it triggers the combo, sometimes it doesn’t, which is odd if not impossible behaviour for something fixed in code. So I am missing something there.

That’s my greatest fear, that they aren’t taking advantage of good players with great work histories who will volunteer while we are out of work.

Maybe this is why, not knowing why, I deleted my level 65 Engineer – I could not figure out what I was doing wrong, I just could not get a single thing to work – and these postings show I was seeing every single darn bug mentioned…

Bumping to check for more Turret bugs. I doubt any new ones have been created, but if there are some that aren’t on this list…well, then they should be. Let me know; I typically only play when I’m testing a bug report.

With the longest patchless period in the game’s history since the start of Living Story’s biweekly scheduling nearing its close…I have to ask: Does anybody know if any of these issues will be resolved? I think this next patch is one of the bugfix patches, but I have no clue if it will include fixes for any of these, and I’d appreciate any kind of insight.

I hope they’ll get those bugs fixed and do something for people using a condition build with turrets. I lost a lot of firepower sinds the Rocket and Rifle Turret change, I also tried to adjust my build but it didn’t work out the way I wanted. And I wouldn’t like to see my 65 laurels spend on trinkets going to waste because of a random change in an update.

Tal: The next big patch is supposed to be the 21st, I think. Here’s hoping the time hasn’t been wasted.

Ambre: I hope they improve Turrets’ compatibility with non-Condition builds, while they’re at it – as it is, Condition builds are the only ones that Turrets scale with to begin with. Seems awful silly.

Well done on compiling all these bugs.

I hate to admit it but I doubt we will see too many turret fixes, if any at all, in the next patch. I am astonished how long the bugged rifle turret overcharge has been around. It was literally around ten updates ago that it was broken and remains unfixed to this day.

If by some miracle there are some turret fixes in the next patch, it’ll most likely bring along some new bugs which will also go unfixed for another long period of time.

They’ve actually started trying to keep the list from growing, at least – newly-introduced issues like Rocket Turret’s bizarre half-step form (no condition damage, but no straight damage increase) and Net Turret Overcharge outright deactivating the turret have been hotfixed out, so I think they might be working on fixing the issues.

Okay, the not-being-affected-by-Healing-Power, that’s weird. Just going to double-check it, and then I’ll add it.

The other thing…I’m actually not sure what you’re trying to say is happening.
If I’m reading it right, the cooldown goes to 20 seconds if the turret is destroyed or detonated, and 15 if picked up, regardless of where it is in the firing cycle or overcharge cooldown?

Edit, having watched your video: That’s how it’s supposed to work, as I understand it. A Turret Engineer is theoretically great as long as their Turrets are both out and in range – destroying their Turrets should be key to fighting them. The devs are theoretically going to be paying attention to the new Class Balance board, and this would be a balance concern.

I did not post the second part as a bug. I mentioned it as an odd behaviour to see if that was intended. I find it to be the main reason why the healing turret is not left up or used as a turret. It’s always either droped, overcharged and picked up or detonated right away. That is a big reason why only this is done and no one ever leaves it up. Shouldn’t leaving it up be something to be motivated?

You’re right, this would be better for the class balance part of the forum.

Thanks for reporting the bug, though. I don’t play enough to spot them during play any more, so people reporting them is pretty much the only way things get added to the list.

I haven’t seen any new bugs… Goodness such a big list.
I see that you have a list of mortar bugs as well. A good handful of folks discussed the Mortar under the professions tab on the forums a while ago. I don’t know if there may be anything of use to you there, but I thought I would give you the link anyways.

Esc: I could make it longer, by following the Best Bugging Practices to the letter – that ‘Turrets don’t attack world bosses’ bug, especially? That could be expanded to 5(x[number of world bosses, or world boss target parts). But that would be spammy.

Drago: They haven’t touched Turrets in a couple patches. Usually, pretty much any errant look at them is what breaks everything.

I think I might’ve glanced over that thread once or twice. To be honest, I don’t even play anymore – I can’t use the build I would like, on the class I would like, without encountering, well, this buglist’s subject matter.

Only on the forums. I haven’t even bothered patching my client in a few patches.

That said, if anybody’s got any more bugs, I’ll patch it up and test them. It’s pretty much all I use the client for. I’m unemployed, so it’s not like I don’t have plenty of time.
