Unable to Login / Region Load Crash
I am experiencing the same issues since April 23. Changing zones has a risk of causing me to dc. Entering an instance (like story or home instance) has the same problem. The log in screen has a 50/50 chance of working. Up until that point, my zone loading times were fast; now they are drawn out, and if drawn out too long, the game disconnects. Also on American server.
Husband and I are having the same issues. Also, started yesterday April 23th.
Agreed, this is happening on login, map loads, character swaps & WPing. Happening very often at least 1/3 of the times I do any of the above. After getting the connection error 3 or 4 times it kicks me out to he login screen and removes user name & password as if I were just loading up guild wars. Also kicks wife &/or kids out when one of us logs in. it happens more the more players we have on

I have been experiencing this issue since yesterday evening as well, beginning approximately around 8:30 PM PST. I am also on the US server. The furthest I have gotten since then is the character select screen, but when I try to enter the game it crashes and gives me the same error: “The game client was unable to connect to the log-in server.”
Rebooting didn’t help, so I have now uninstalled the game and I’m reinstalling it right now. I really didn’t want to because it takes quite a while to download again, but I couldn’t think of anything else to do to fix it. I’ll reply on this thread afterwards indicating whether or not reinstalling fixed it.

this is same message i’m getting after typing in my password. it tries to login and then this message appears
I just started getting this message. Got one last night once. Now I got a bunch in a row leading up to not being able to log in to the game.
Tifa Ran/Ranger with a Pet
Commander WvW – Henge of Denravi
On a note to this: It happens most of the time when I try to go to the guild hall.

Okay, so finished uninstalling and reinstalling and so far, it seems to be fixed. I can log in, visit my guild hall, travel via waypoint, and travel via Asura gate with no issues thus far.
pass 2 days ive been getting disconnected , now I cant log in
I have been having the same issues since yesterday morning early (NA player Mountain time zone). Frequent crashes, multiple attempts to be able to log in and getting error messages such as the ones above, once I am able to log into the game….I am unable to switch zones without crashing again. I have discussed this with several guildies that are having the same issues as well as many people in map chat stating the same thing. I have sent several tickets in on the issue, but it has yet to be addressed. ANet, can we get some sort of response on this issue?

@PatchworkSeraph,
I’m not sure reinstalling is such a great “fix” but let us know how the next 30m goes cuz i’ve spent the last hour on the forums when I could have had it reinstalled. I’ll try running a repair first though.

Actually this started last night around 9pm PST. Was doing WvW, and decided to leave, except of having my avatar reappear where I last was in tyria, I was kicked from the game. Went back into the game, was able to get in easily, however when I attempted to waypoint to Akk Wilds Waypoint was kicked from the game. Happened three times while attempting to hit that waypoint, so I chose another waypoint within Metrica and was then able to access that region. However once in that region, was not able to hit up another waypoint outside that region without getting kicked from the game.
Also noticed issues with logging into Black Desert Online, and Aion.
Is this an NCsoft issue we’re having all over again? Because Black Desert is slow loading, and Aion is slow loading up to the point that the program for loading in shutsdown, and wants you to close it or continue to wait.
I am having the same problem as well, starting yesterday evening on both my main and alt accounts which use independent copies of the game files.
Now i’m switching characters in Guildwas2, and it’s starting to kick me from the game.
Nope! running a repair did nothing! ANet help us get back to playing!!!

I have the same problems you all are describing with logon and region loading. Everything was working well for me up until late afternoon (PST) yesterday. Now, if I can get into the game, I don’t get to stay long and had better not try to waypoint anywhere. Long hangs with an eventual “cannot find the server” error message most of the time.
In case it is a regional issue, I’m in the LA area on Frontier Communications. No network issues with anything else I’m running. I’ve tried both the Windows and Mac clients with the same results.
Thank’s for the Tweet! at least we know its getting looked at now

Guys, I’m going to be sure that the team sees your reports. One thing you might do to help is to provide:
- Date and time (plus time zone) first noticed (assumption here is that it’s continuing even now)
- If it resolve, about when you noticed that
- Your location
- Your ISP
- Other specifics, such as those provided in individual posts that mention specific maps or game modes in which this was noted
Thanks for your reports. This is being discussed internally, so you can be sure the details you provide will be very helpful in getting to a resolution.

I noticed that Shaui posted in another thread on this subject. He said the following:
We are looking into this issue. If you are still affected, please send us some info that will help us debugging.
- Your location and ISP
- open a command prompt and run “tracert cligate-dfw.101.ncplatform.net” if you are on a NA server, run “tracert cligate-fra.101.ncplatform.net” if you are on an EU server. 3. # Include the output from step 2 in your reply.
So if you can share that, and do that, it’d help a bunch!
I am going to close this thread and ask that you post in the other thread to keep the conversation focused. Thanks!
