It is only 1 week after the release… they need more time to get it all worked out…. they couldn’t possibly be expected to have the content all functioning when they released it live to the players…
Oh, and ya, I had the same problem…. its RNG….
Same thing. Successful attempt at Wurm, I was on Amber and nothing. 0/3. This will haunt me now…
EDIT: So if it turns out that you don’t have to fully success (kill all heads) with the event, just kill the head, then I’m 0/3 after at least 3 decapitations of Amber Wurm…

Same thing happend to me at the Amber Wurm on Desolations 2nd kill. We killed the head, but it did not count towards the achievement. Filled out a bug report too.
Please ANET, for all our effort we have put into this encounter in the past few days, grant us this mercy!
I assume the “mercy they shall grant us” will be 20 gems off on a character slot or something hahahahah…. did anyone else find it odd first birthday gift was up to lvl 20 for free?…. kinda like, how could I be a year old and not lvl 20?
same here, after killing all wurms (was at amber) no wurm slayer achievement.
Same here… killed cobalt and made sure to do dmg/stay alive and I’m still stuck at 1/3. In my attachment NO ONE from cobalt got credit either.

Believe I was with you there on BG, and nope, got no credit. None of us on Cobalt wyrm did. I won’t even open my chests until my ticket is answered in the hopes it will be rectified.

Same problem here.
Fought at Amber wurm, killed Amber wurm (Desolation fight like nine hours ago). No progression on Wurmslayer title track. There were quite a few people that mentioned the same problem on Map.
As far as I could see, only people at Amber had this problem. No one mentioned not getting progression on other wurms (or I missed the message/they didn’t say).
BTW is there video available for the 2nd Amber kill anywhere for viewing?
(good proof also who was present there!)
I was also in on the Blackgate success yesterday, on Cobalt, and didn’t get the achievement either. I had a guildmate there with me and she also didn’t get it.
We just finished the whole even successful and i was on Cobalt and the achievement still has progress 0/3
I’ve heard multiple players complain about this when killing the Amber head at FSP server. Myself included.

I contacted support about this issue, and just today got my survey about “rate the support you received?” How weird that I came to forums and this thread is up.
Anyway, both me and my husband (who was also there for this fight, and experienced this same bug) got these responses, word for word until he got his last email, which was different from mine and was not a copy/paste:

On 1-29-13 at 7:30 pm Eastern time on the Blackgate server, I participated in the killing of the 3 Headed Jungle Wurm (Triple Trouble Event), and was successful. I got no credit in my achievement panel for the Wurm kill. I was assigned to, and did damage and lived through the death of the Cobalt Wurm and it’s head. Achievement still has progress 0/3.
I submitted a report minutes after the kill upon noticing this, as did my husband, who was also there on his own account and character, but never having had to submit an issue in GW2 before, we used the ‘Report a Bug’ feature and not an actual request, hence me submitting one a few days late. I apologize. I did however, also post about this issue in the bug report forum here https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Wurmslayer-Achievement-Bug not too long after, so I hope I can be awarded the achievement and the situation rectified.

Unfortunately, this is more of a non-response than response. An
activity in game did not award an achievement. I feel I was very clear
in my initial ticket and I have provided proof that I earned the
achievement via links to the official forums and screenshots, as well as
the Daily Wurm Chest still being unopened in my bag. I will accept, and
understand, if Guild Wars 2 Support Staff cannot award achievements,
however, I would deeply appreciate a response stating as much.
I have checked the official forums for an update on this issue as I am
not the only person experiencing it. I reported on the Bug report forum

As much as I hate to say this, instead of relying or waiting on a proper response, just try it again. I know it sucks because I was there on BG too for the full kill. I can’t say (or guarantee) that it’d be rewarded for a successful kill, but last night we downed cobalt yet unfortunately failed and it gave me credit. So if it’s still bugged on a kill-kill, try to be on it during the tries leading up to the next one. At this point a lot of people have had this issue and I just don’t see it being manually rewarded by a dev to every single person.

Personally, I gave up when I kept getting copy/paste responses, and then my husband got the same exact ones, sans that last one, which was just.. . The chests are in the bank.
Right now, I’d rather stay away from the wurm, too buggy for the effort put into them, along with alot of other issues. I’ll try again when the bugs are worked out and the content is in-game for awhile.
Issue is still present. Maybe it has something to do with guesting. Because I did a few head kills on Desolation (which I guested to), but havent gotten points for it!

Tried to request a manual fix of my achievement status, because I spent over 30 hours on these wurm runs. So speaking in worth, thats at least 100g+ from dungeon runs.
I’m kittened right now, spending quite a bit of money (and time) on this game, not getting any help at all.

amber is still not registering head kill
I am stuck at 2/3 and have killed the wurm multiple times at all different heads. Was this ever resolved? should I submit a ticket?
Strange. I was able to get all of my with a TTS raid (pre April patch).
You made sure you got some burn time on the head? sometime if more than 50 people attack it wouldn’t trigger for anyone after that (at least that seems to be a common factor I saw with the Knights and current champs. 50 is a magic number for some reason).
I know how hard those achievements are. Did you at least get the chest loot for killing them?
yea got burn time, loot and event credit also wurm chest and I’ve done it on each head multiple times
