Guild Wars 2

Hey all.

Downloaded (part of?) the patch, now the client gives an error:

Connection error(s) detected. Retrying…

My internet connection is perfectly fine, so it’s the client.

Same thing happens to me.

Same here, I guess the server’s can’t handle the amount of players trying to download the patch… I’ll just wait and come back later…

same issue here with me, keep on failing to connect to the net and the launcher wont download the update…

inet fine, able to download any other stuffs but gw2…

My download haven’t even started and I am getting this error too…

Same here, probably messed something up with the new -StreamingClient

EDIT: This isn’t failing like usual i.e. full servers or bad connections. The client varies between 1kb and 0kb then shows connection error

I have the same problem. Tried to login and this connection error is constantly showing up!

Same story every patch these days, guess it’s not getting fixed any time soon if ever.

I have the same issue. Got through about 20MB of data and then conn. errors.

Working now… I guess just a ton of people updating at the same time so the servers are stretched.

exactly same thing for me.. stuck on 1 remaining files, the speed flciks really quick between 1 KB and 200 KB and the file size keeps on increasing (now at 53 mb).

Now it is very quickly flashing and error… “Connection error” maybe

Didn’t see this coming……..

Seems fixed, I’m back in.

Guild updates are magically completed days ahead of schedule, apparently.

Guess not. New error message though, that’s nice I guess.

My client was very slow to even boot up, the GUI took several minutes to appear, patches have always been smooth for me, this one however is very slow. 37% After 1hr +, do hope they fixed the whisper lag and guild info lag.

Yeah it’s working again now, except now my guild chat is bugged. “You are not in a guild.”

I’m trying to install GW2 from 0 in my laptop. The client downloads 10MB , restarts and the process just crashes.

Managed to update fine (had to delete Sweetfx bin folder though) played for about 1hr then lost connection. Now when i try and log in, i get:
Connection Error.. been like that for last few hours now
Guess i’ll leave it n try tomorrow

I got the update no problem. Loaded the game and couldn’t chat in guild chat logged out and then reloaded it was fine. Now I just tried to go back in and the game client won’t connect at all.I even tried to reboot my machine. Nothing worked. I am not going to reboot my modem. I think its a server problem though because why would you not be able to get back in a couple hours later? Doesn’t make sense.

I just deleted my GemFX files from “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Guild Wars\bin\” (Sorted by date modified and recognized the date I installed GemFX). Loads up properly now.
