been trying to login the past 90 minutes from NYC and getting an error but not seeing any posts about it elsewhere except from 8-9 hours ago. Are they having issues still?

Haven’t had any issue in the last couple of hours.

They have been having technical problems for more than a day. The lag is really bad and I keep getting error 7’d out of wvw.

They had a workaround for the authentication issue.

This one worked for me…but isn’t stopping the endless error 7.s,
C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2-64.exe" -authsrv 64.25.38.172 -assetsrv 64.25.41.2

add the authsrv and assetsrv to the command line

It’s supposed to be fixed now. They said if anyone else is having issues, they should file a support ticket so ANet can help them individually.

Not sure if it’s the same issue. But /team chat is full of people who have constant dc’s.

A short time ago, when trying to log in, I got the message that my account name was wrong… When it wasn’t. And I had severe lag after getting in. I couldn’t do anything. Skills would just flash and not work, but the mobs were tearing my toon up. The lag kitten sure didn’t affect them.

This has nothing to do with the patch or with ANet directly. Hackers (or trolls) are attacking internet backbone services and throttling traffic.
