I was in the middle of a fractal run and my account got “temporally suspended” and then i couldn’t log for a few minutes then somehow i was able to log back in and i received some hero item and some tome of influence?

Im totally confused i hope this at least helps some how to know what the issue is?

Sounds like some sort of glitch or bug, if you had actually been suspended you would have gotten a black screen after the login screen saying, Your account has been suspended for X hours for (reasons X, Y, or Z), and you wouldn’t be able to get back in the game.

You can report it by making a ticket. Top of page then top right of page, submit a request.

I’ve seen cases in the past where a suspension was given in error and those items were mailed to the account in-game mail as a sort apology for the error/unjustified suspension. I think it should have had a note with it though, not just items.

I don’t know about that. However, if he had been actually suspended, he would have gotten the black screen with the suspension notice and would have had to contact Support to have it lifted early if it was in error.

It wouldn’t have been a matter of minutes, no notification, and items sent to him without any sort of message.

Unless whoever made the error of incorrectly suspending them realized the mistake once they did it and corrected it. Their stating they were “temporarily suspended” means they likely did get this black screen and the suspension notice that you mention, which is how they knew they were suspended. Perhaps a different account was meant to get the suspension and they did theirs by accident, the person doing this realized the mistake, unsuspended them within minutes due to realizing this mistake, and then sent the items as an apology as has been done several times in the past and has been documented on these forums as something that they do when an incorrect suspension is given. The items likely did have a message, but it’s usually a generic one that mentions nothing of the incorrect suspension, just a “Here are your items due to some mistake”. Op would need to update on this info to verify all of that though.

I’ve seen threads where people received a heroic chest by accident, some sort of game glitch.

From a thread where someone revived one after his account was hacked, banned, then reinstated. such as this one here.

I have never heard that the Heroic items were given as a ‘sort of apology’, only that this sometimes occurs after being re-instated. I’ve seen mention of this ‘glitch’ in this sub-forum, and others, but never anything about an apology.

If it were an apologetic gesture…where’s my chest??? Lol.

Ah, I do remember that thread and their issue. I didn’t realize that it was a Heroic Chest this thread’s OP received and that is likely related to the situation of the TC in your linked thread. As this OP had only mentioned a “hero item and some tome of influence”, I wasn’t sure exactly which items those were as I have seen several types of items as being among those included in these ‘apology’ mails. Due to this I did not associate it with the Heroic Chest issue that your link has shown as happening before.

Well, he said hero item. That was the only thing I could think of and his account of what happened and what he got was sort of vague. Unless there is some other hero item from the gem store?

Not that I know of. I didn’t take it as the item literally having “hero” in its name, I thought they were simply meaning an XP Booster or some other item for their hero or something like the Armor Booster to help their “hero” along on their journey.

I’ll be taking my leave now as I’ve not really contributed to this thread and I shouldn’t even come to the forums without first having a second cup of coffee. My apologies for that. If any of you are celebrating a holiday, I hope you have had/are having a great one.

Well, I suppose the ‘hero item’ could have been the Hero’s Band. You did get one of those along with the Tome of Influence on Pre-purchase accounts (as well as other items).

From everything I’ve seen, some time after the First Anniversary, some reinstated accounts receive their first-time activation items, again (be those Pre-purchase items or Heroic Edition items). But, again, I have never seen anything on the forums about an ‘apology note’, just the usual new account welcome message….‘Thanks for playing Guild Wars 2’.

I am sorry ,what i received is called Heroic Chest and Tome of Influence ( 4k points).

I don’t remember exactly how was the message of the suspension but it was a little window and i couldn’t see anything of the game just the message but it didn’t mention any reason or time at all, that is why i made this thread because i was so confused.

I haven’t sent an email or submitted a request/ticket because it is really confusion and asks for too many things when i am not even sure if i am doing the one that i suppose to do, my English is not that great and it gets confusing for me.

I just want to make sure that my account is fine and also if i should destroy those items or i can keep them or if i need to really report it? ( how)

Pd: I did receive an email saying Special item delivery , please find attached this special items for you to enjoy and something saying that i cant delete the character?

Gee, I wonder if the Tome of Influence is part of the new Great MMO Migration promotion.

I don’t think you need destroy the items, but if you want to clear this all up you can contact Customer Support as outlined above.

About deleting, I would guess the message was, if you use the Heroic item armor and delete the character it was used on, the armor will be lost forever.
