I created 5 characters on day one of the early release. The very first one has not received a birthday present; however all of the other 4 have.

This character also did have an issue at the beginning of not getting the starting pack either, though I was able to get it by going to the spot in The Undermarket in Hooligan’s Route.

I am just wondering if there was a bug on the very first character or am I just not getting the birthday present on the character for some other reason?

It seems many people are encountering this issue. Probably best to just wait a bit, and see what happens. I am sure ArenaNet is aware, or will be soon.

My character is 12 month old now and did not receive birthday present I played since head start 25 August .

My girlfriend got her present on her account. Her characters were created after mine.

I don’t mind a delay, but if something goes wrong and I don’t get a present, I will be disappointed.

This happens each time there is mass emails from ANet. They send these emails out in batches of them so of course some will get theirs first and others a day or so later.

Got the same problem. The first character didn’t get the present.
Also he didn’t get the HoM-teleporter.
Last but not least: When I bought the Digital Deluxe-Upgrade with this char, he was the only one who didn’t have the mistfire-wolf unlocked.

Add my name to the list of people who haven’t received the birthday gift. I’ve checked all my characters. I started on the early start, but we actually got to log on to Darkhaven at 9pm on August 24th.
Don’t recall, exactly, how many characters I created on the first day, but my very first hasn’t received their gift.

I´m not sure whether I´m supposed to get a gift or not (haven´t received any yet). I´ve played since the very beginning. I even got one of the pre-order editions but I ended up not liking my first character created at the release and made another one a day or a few days after that, I can´t remember exactly now.

It will be on that character’s birthday, whenever that is.

My on-release-created character hasn´t recieved any gift either

The presents are emailed out in groups. Of the 5 that I made that day, so far I’ve gotten 4 but I expect to get the last one in a day or so.

One thing you can do is make sure your mailbox is emptied. If you have 10 in the mail, it won’t show up,

I’m having this problem as well. Just waiting to see if it will show up in a few days.

I would send in a support ticket about the Mistfire Wolf thing if you haven’t already.

I am wondering how much the original “lock out” of a great number of people during the first weeks of launch may have affected this issue.

I lost all of the “head start” when Arenanet was attacked by password hunting bots, and was locked out of my account for days. (Arenanet locked me out, I was never hacked, and support was so swamped my ticket took 11 days to be addressed)

I also had several bugs with various other “in game items” that I was supposed to receive. Many of my characters that I created on the first day had the “timed” bank golems and the timer began at character creation (they changed it later for the timer to start when the golem was actually first used) But because Arenanet locked me out of my account, most of my 1st day characters never got to use their “bank golems” because they had timed out by the time they got around to reinstating my account. the HOM stones were another issue…

After the launch bot attack issues, waiting around for a birthday gift seems kind of easy.

None of my characters have gotten their birthday gift and i have 5 characters now that say 12 months when I /age but still no gift.

Same. I didn’t get gift on the very first character I made, during Head Start. I got it on my alts I made after him though. In /age it says 12 months, so something’s just weird with my main. ;/

I am having this exact issue as well.

Same issue here. No gifts on all my characters that are 12 months old. My husband and I started at the same time during the early start access and he received his gift. Bummer

Same for me as well, and I also began during Head Start, created 3 characters. First character created didn’t receive anything. Other 2 did receive presents.

Seems to be a prevalent bug. My first character has received nothing, as well.

Same here, my main character with 12 months old, didnt receive it as well.

On the same boat, created my char as soon as the servers opened up on the 25th and still no sign of the present.

I don’t have the gift. Add me to this list.

Can ANY of the Devs just tell us the usual thing? That they are workin on it and we will get our present “when its done”? Atleast then we know you guys know of this problem.

My character is 1 year old but I don’t receive any birthday gift.

I have at least 5 characters created during the head start and NONE of them have received the birthday gift.

I am missing the birthday gift on my first created toon as well. Others got theirs but my first character has yet to receive his. Would like to know what is going on. Did they mail out in alphabetical order?

My very first character, which was the only character I had created upon the 3-day head start, up until it reached Level 80, has not received its birthday gifts either.

Even though the people that I started the game with have acquired theirs already, even those who created their character(s) after me.

Hopefully those of us that started on the head start will at least get our gifts on the 28th, if not before then, perhaps?

Thx for the update Gaile. My main character was also the first created on my account, but the only one to not yet receive the birthday gift.

Also, this bug is probably responsible for me not getting a precursor from the mystic forge, despite 1000’s of tosses. Just sayin’…;)

I feel oh so special. In fact… I feel pretty. Oh so pretty. I feel pretty and witty and bright.

Just chiming in that I haven’t received it either. It really doesn’t matter much, since the mini doesn’t count toward the mini collector, and I can’t use the scroll since all my characters are level 20+. I’m not losing any sleep.

Yeah, didnt get myn either which mad me a sad tengu :<. Either way do i need to submit a ticket in order to get my present?

Update: One of the devs has identified this is a bug (but it’s sort of isolated, so you guys who got it are extra special ). They are working on a fix. I don’t have a timeframe for the roll out, but what I believe will happen is that you will get your birthday present in your in-game mail. However, we may need you to submit a ticket. So just ignore my speculation and I’ll continue to update as I learn more.

Hey there, all other non-gifted birthday folks! Just wanted to add my name to the list; made my character on 8/25/12 – first day of pre-launch. Have not received anything yet, but I did talk with a dev in-game who asked if I was online during the daily reset on the 24th/25th, and I explained that I was. Not sure if anyone else was online at that time, and perhaps that’s part of the bug. Just thought I would throw that out there.
