By isolated and special, I think they mean “you started at headstart”. The funny thing is people were talking in LA about how they were getting gifts and they hadn’t played a full year…so maybe they screwed something up with the starting point of the birthdays?

Still no gifts for me, too. So extra special means, we have some special bug accounts or what? I’m asking because it’s not the first time my account deals with a delay in delivering things. Any chance of getting a normal bug free account for the future? I checked the game case, yep no “with special rare delays included – Guild Wars 2 the delay edtion” on it.

My character is 12 month old now and did not receive birthday present I played since head start 25 August .

My friend and I both made our characters within a few minutes of each other on three day early start and she has her birthday presents on all toons made that day and I don’t on any of mine.

I have this account since the Beta, I started playing since the Beta, I made my main character on the day of pre-release for beta-users (3 days before official release) and I got nothing at all, how come ?

My question is: the gift is for the birthday of GW2 will have it all and then I just have to wait? Is the birthday of my account so I just have to wait? The gift is linked to the creation of my first character, which now no longer exists’, so I will receive the gift the day I created my second character?

Each character you create has a birthday — the day you create them. If you delete that character, then that character no longer has a birthday.

1) If you look, you’ll notice a thread about this already – it has a Red icon in front of it because an Anet member has posted in it.

2) For this kind of think you would want to submit a support ticket (via the link to support at the top of every forum page), normally. However, check out that post I referred to first.

I stopped playing for a few months, but came back because I was excited to use the scroll with a friend. Sadly, I am also part of this group. I was a founder, part of head start, and I believe I was on the day of the restart as mentioned in an earlier post. I’m hoping to find out what this birthday gift thing is all about, because I’m beginning to think my friend is crazy.

Thanks, The ‘fix’ could have been a lot better though. Now it just means those who had 0% of the gifts others got now have 50% of the gifts. Would have been nice to have a second booster or scroll for an alt. I guess I can start leveling my new character now, 3 days later than I wanted but at least it came.

Not happy Anet. Loyal GW1 players who bought the game months in advance, participated in betas and were part of the GW2 head start get pooped on. Not only did I not get to flaunt my terribad mini 3 days before the rest of world, I don’t even get two birthday boosters.

As for the characters that got or did not get a second gift:

When I was young there were two different ways kids in the family looked at presents at birthdays and Christmas. One way was to open your gift and focus on what you received. For the most part, kids who did this were happy because it would be something they’d asked for and wanted. (sure, there was the occasional pair of socks, but them’s the breaks )

The other way was to open your gift and then start comparing it to what the other kids got. Were the others more expensive? Did you get one item and Bobby got two? (good thing we did not have the internet to instantly check which gift was rated higher on Amazon) For the most part, kids who did this were upset in some way and enjoyed their own presents less.

I prefer the first way.

I am afraid that is stupid.

I have head start, beta and pre order bla bla bla and because I decided to delete a character after the first 28 days and re-roll it I now have to wait said 28 days. UGH!!

Should be account biased. I am playing the game not the avatar behind the screen.
