I’ve tried this four times before posting. I’ve been having lost connections all day. But so far the worst has been in the Mists. Everytime I attempt the jump puzzle, either I’m on the second leg of the puzzle in the Borderlands or even go into the puzzle zone my client looses connection. My network connection seems fine.

Its seems to be happening consistently now. Every 10 mins or so, in the mists or out, the client looses connection for awhile, then gets it back.
In the Mists, I’ve also been in situations where I’ve suddenly been instant killed, and not by anyone or anything. Just a small drop, which should only take away a few HP suddenly kills me. Then I cannot WP back. I have to get out of the mists. Then things seems fine except I’m stuck with a repair bill.

I’ve been having almost the same issues since Tuesday, though in my case I get disconnected. It is really frustrating and I can’t for the life of me figure out what is causing this. :/

I have been having game crashes lately. Is this the same that you experience, or do you just get ‘logged off’ ?

I am also having connection problems, where the game just throws me into the character select screen, because it cant connect to client.

Never had disconnects (error 7:xxx) before, but have had quite a few lately. Started with Wintersday update.

Same here, It is getting very annoying! Last night i could not do any WvW because the lag and disconnects were so bad, and today i was getting disconnects during the dragon fights.

This is not like any lag I’ve experienced in the game before. Previously, I knew I was experiencing lag because my FPS would drop considerably.

Now my FPS is fine, at times its perfect. The only way I know my client lost connection is when I try to activate one of my abilities such as Windborne Speed and the icon just keeps flashing, with nothing else happening. I can keep moving, in the Mists I can even see the green points on the map that are other players moving. But after awhile I suddenly get yanked back to the previous location where I was at. As if the client and server lost sync and when the sync was re-established the client took the last server know position as my current position.

In other cases, when I get attacked by mobs and I run away (cause my abilities refuse to fire,) the mobs still continue the attack, even though I can’t see them anymore. My health keeps decreasing and there is nothing I can do about it. I just wait it out, till the server and client reconnect and hope I’m not defeated.

It kept happening so consistently on both my characters last night that I finally decided to give up and go watch a movie.

Im having the same issues. Ive opened a support ticket and gave them logs, network diagnostics, previous forum solutions to no avail. (Error:7:11:3:189:101)

Updated my drivers. Repaired my client. And still the disconnects keep happening. Its getting really bad. I can’t even find the Arenanet.log file to send to ANET. I’ve opened a ticket and sent over the GameAdvisor text file. But as of right now the game is only playable in 10min spurts.

Think its time to stop playing GW2.

Dear Anet, can you do anything to solve the problem. It is frustrating when i get disconnected every 5-10 minutes after log into the game…. totally unplayable. Please do something

Just tried changing servers. No luck.

The really funny thing is, I can see other players moving around, involved in combat, etc. I on the other hand have my abilities completely frozen, keep getting hit by invisible enemies, cannot heal, cannot fight back. Then after awhile, if I’m lucky I get reconnected, else it boots me out to the character select screen. With a notice that my client just disconnected.

Also, I can see other players chatting in the chat box. But I can’t type anything in.

Seems the problem solved itself. Just started working fine on Sunday night. I had changed my account password, repaired my client again and then launched the game, and things started to get back to normal. Been ok for the last few days.

Started having this exact problem as well (late 12/25 into morning of 12/26) in general PVE areas.
My husband and I were playing together and funny thing is he has no problems while my client keeps loosing connection. And no it’s not an issue with our network. Seems like I can be playing fine for 30 mins -2 hours then start lagging badly and finnaly loose connection. I can resume playing game normally after I reconnect but can get disconnected again at any point.
This is the 1st time I’m having this issue. FYI I’m on MAguuma server, not sure if it’s important.

yes what is going on with this, my wife and I are on U-Verse internet and we lost connection to the server constantly last night. I mean my wife would literally lose connection, be brought back to the character select screen, log back in and immediately lose connection again after 30 or so seconds.

i gave up after getting disconnect twice and we to play another ONLINE game and had no problem the rest of the night while my wife tried to bear with it. she must have been disconnected at least 8 times within 10 minutes.

This is happening to me now. My client keeps on disconnecting to the login server. I can’t even play the game… so annoying -_-

Constantly losing connection, unplayable to be frank. Halfway through almost anything im booted.

Is this issue being looked? Or can players get feedback at least?

i have been experiencing the same issue for the passed 2 weeks and i thought it was my internet and it is not. is there a solution to this problem

Do you use FIOS ?
