In the other thread someone discovered that disabling auto proxy detect solved the CoherentUI crash issue.

Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings
Make sure “Automatically detect settings” is UNchecked

This has solved the issue for several of us on both Windows 8.1 and Windows 7.

Thank you! Windows 7 user here and this fixed it. Can also access the TP.

Since the last build update – I went in a changed this setting back so it is now checked.
Launcher loaded. No error msg from Coherent but the launcher screen is frozen.

I just realised that when I am in the character select screen all the stats in the top right are 0, including achievement points.

I still can’t get in to the Black Lion Trading Post it still says net err network access denied. I wish you guys would of just stayed with the old Black Lion Trading post cause I buy a lot of stuff in the gem store ,now I can’t use it . and I feel I shouldn’t have to change things on my comp to play please fix this!

I tried changing the “Automatically Detect Settings” and it still didn’t work for me.

Well, the good news is the coherent UI message is gone.

The bad news is that i uninstalled my game yesterday and the downloader just goes completely white without showing any message at all or any sign of actually downloading something.

Since I live in europe and you guys apparently only work while I sleep, I guess I won’t bother trying it again today and keep my fingers crossed in 24 hours.

A dissapointed and frustrated customer.

I’m not getting the Coherent error at all – my patcher opened, but it froze at 20%. I left it for a little, tabbed back to it, and no change. I force closed GW2 and reloaded it, and it was fully patched, BUT the login screen only stays active for a moment before it just freezes so I can’t click anything. My password has disappeared as well.

I can’t even close it manually, I’ve restarted and tried all the suggested fixes but none work, it just sits frozen.

Could this possibly be a router issue? I have made ALL the changes that have been posted, only way I can get into game is still without TP * -nopatchui , uncheck the automatically detect etc etc I have done all that. I open GW2 with my email and password added to target, does a small initialization, icon to taskbar and nothing…UNLESS I put -nopatchui in. I get NO error messages.. just minimizes to taskbar and sits there if I do not put -nopatchui

Im, not sure if the patch downloaded or not, i turned it on and left it to download and came back to the screen stuck at 1%. I closed the window and reopened it and it goes to the log in screen and at 100% but its frozen, cant click on anything. Ive updated all drivers, tried the repair game, disabled antivirus and other options mentioned here but still nothing and after disabling the antivirus the log in screen flicks up and then disappears, it seems to be worse

Not sure if it was already mentioned, but most of the problems with client is being fixed by deleting files including Local.dat.

Path for it is
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2

after that, Launcher may download a file.

I’ve not played for 1 day and more because none of the suggestions worked for me . Now I’m able to login and play . Apparently , the problem had something to do with my anti-virus . I’m using a free version Avira Anti-Virus . I’ve tried disabling the antivirus before but it didn’t work . Today , a sudden message poped up showing two ADWARE file or whatever , also had an " Apply " option . Clicked " Apply " in Avira and attempt to open gw2 . Surprisingly it worked .

I hope that will help some of you guys . Im sorry I won’t be able to provide as much information because I’m not good at pc stuffs . I have no idea what this Adware bla bla is . Good luck !

Finally found a solution!
If you have a folder named Vebergreat in the Program files (x86), in this folder you have a file named Pac9064. This is a spyware causing the issue. Just go to the control panel and uninstall vebergreat, then launch the game. It worked for me.
Same thing if you have SmarterPower intead of Vebergreat

This worked -perfectly- for me. Except mine wasn’t SmarterPower of Vebergreat, it was webget.
Hope this works for other people too!

Any idea of whether this will be fixed before the WvW tournament starts tomorrow? I am very active in WvW and it will be pretty crap if I miss part of the first week (or all of it, at the rate this is being solved).

I know there have been (very) occasional posts saying you are working on this, but we haven’t heard anything for a while and I feel like this is anything but a top priority to you: which it should be.

Just a head’s up, I’ve been able to run the game fine since the patch (aside from a few crashes on day one), but when I tried to load it today, my antivirus (AVG) called out CoherentUI_Host.exe as a trojan and tried to delete it. I told it to ignore it for now, but this is a thing.

Someone noticed an adware injection script on their PC was messing things up. I suggest people should scan their system for ad/malware with something like Malwarebytes.

That is caused by a program blocking access to CoherentUI_Host.exe, stopping Gw2.exe from executing it.

Look for any anti-virus/firewall/security software with HIPS/application blocking.

So day 3. Guild wars still only running with the -nopatchui Solution. Every mal/spyware crap is turned of. i had high hopes this afternoon when after the “initializing” screen it finally opened log in screen and started downloading. But when it reached 18% it got stuck again. it’s bin more then a day since we last had any status update, would be nice if you could keep us informed on how the situation is being handled. i hope you guys will come with a permanennt solution soon, otherwise ill have to find some new MMO to spend my money on

My brother suggested I update .NET framework to try and fix it, it might be helpful for others but it made no difference for me.

My game now loads to character select but won’t let me enter the world due to crashing with errors ‘Code= 10:5:11:2462:101’ and ‘Code= 7:11:3:191:101’. After trying to login around 5 times the launcher will hang in the taskbar after reaching the ‘Initializing’ screen.

Edit: I successfully logged in using my brother’s pc (windows 8.1), so I don’t think it is an account issue.

Haven’t had any problems logging in or ever for installing. The major hurdle now is the ‘new improved’ tp. 95% of my tries to open the piece of junk (That has a badly designed layout to add) has resulted in crashes for me. Sent many crash reports and tickets already… To date in my 10 yrs of mmos this game has hands down the worst trade system in practise. I never experienced a fraction of how many problems this game has given me! Thought April’s tp issue was bad, which took 5 days to resolve for me but I think this will exceed that, at least April’s problems didn’t cause crashes and was actually fixed by the feature pack, not broken!

At the very least though at least this thread has gotten some responses from the staff and I’ve learned at least what may be causing the crashes, the mac support threads have given pretty much 0 intel at all just the ’we’re looking into it!’

If April’s pack did anything well (Trashed the trait UI by removing the drop downs and the Hero tab forced us to do needless clicks as the system cannot default to ‘Equipment’, gone are the days when we could just hit H and change gear…) it was for once giving us a stable and fast tp, am surely mourning it now!

As Toymachine noted, we just put out a hotfix that should address all of the problems in this thread … if you still have problems, feel free to post here, but also contact Customer Service, and give them any files in the “AppData\Guild Wars 2\Coherent Dumps” folders as those will make debugging issues like this go a lot faster. (CS can help you get those files.)
