Guild Wars 2

Hi, I’ve been able to play GW2 fine yesterday. Suddenly today when I try to log in, I get this message “Connection error(s) detected. Retrying…” I can’t go beyond this screen and can’t even log in.

There is nothing wrong with my internet connection. I haven’t changed any settings to my computer, incl firewall, etc.

I exited out of GW by pressing cross button, and reopened GW and still same problem. I force quitted via Task Manager, and reopened. Still same issue. I searched for this problem online and it appears some people had this issue earlier this year but no solution was posted.

Could someone please assist?

Thanks Avalanzhe. It worked and got me in. But I still get disconnected after a while, but at least I can reconnect. I have no issues with my internet, so I have no idea why Guild Wars disconnects.

Same here !!! And the “solution” doesn’t work at all … for some reason every time I do it disconnects my main drive then I have to go into the bios and fix it again … Please A-net fix it a.s.a.p !!!

Ditto. Can’t connect to the login server.

And just like that I was able to get in. Guess the problem is sporadic so just keep hammering away until it works?

I found my problem and it might help anyone else reading this with the same problem. My problem was caused by re installing utorrent (sorry for saying names) but not utorrent itself but one of the add on programs with it, some kind of YouTube accelerator or something. I uninstalled guild wars 2 and still couldn’t enter the log in server with same disconnecting problem.

When I uninstalled this YouTube thing I could going into the log in server again with no problems and guild wars 2 is updating everything again since I uninstalled it.

Hope this helps any and everyone with the same problem as I had!
