Guild Wars 2

Hello

Everyday this game, along with every other game, will crash or freeze on me at random moments every single time I play. The games run very well and nothing is overheating(I use coretemp to watch) but for some reason games will randomly freeze or crash and I have to use task manager to shut them down.
This was my first time doing a custom pc so I had this guy at this computer store build it for me. I don’t know what could be the problem but this happens everyday.

Also, I hear my computer get quieter every few seconds and the cpu usage drops to about 0-3% and that is also when the games freeze temporarily or permanently.

I have tried so many tests and things and I just do not know what to do. This has been going on for a few months now.

GTX 770
AMD FX 4130 quad core processor 3.80GHz
8 gb of ram
windows 7 64-bit OS

This sounds like the same problem I’m having I’ve got very similar specs to yours except I’m using a hexcore @4.0ghz, 32gb of 1800 ram and windows 8, I suspect it may have something to do with the graphics card despite the fact that I’m having memory crashes with medium graphics quality, which should not happen
1. because 32 gb of ram
2. low settings compared to what my rig is capable of.
3. No hardware issues (I’ve checked multiple possibilities)
4. I’ve reinstalled client as a whole twice.
and 5. It’s specifically guild wars that I’ve had issues with and literally nothing else (minus ksp but that’s completely separate, mods + early development = expected)
so I suspect that since the biggest issue for everyone in gw2 have been performance (technically speaking, we’ll ignore business practices-.-) there’s a high probability it might be specifically the graphics card (I have a gtx 770 as well)

I am not even sure what the origin of the issue is with mine. I am speaking with support atm but this will be the 3rd time but hopefully I get lucky this time.
