Guild Wars 2

I’ve been unable to play the Halloween events because my Mac crashes every time I load my character which is in the Iron Marshes. It all started when I was running through the map, my MAC crashed, due to a “Fatal Disk Error (31)”. Then when I tried to load my character back, it would freeze, my action bar would be glitched, and then crash to desktop, and one time it restarted my MAC. Please help since Im not sure how long the Halloween events will last!! :[ I can play as other lower level characters I’ve made. Do I have to reinstall?
(Update) A friend logged onto me and moved my char to a diff zone, when I loaded it, it still crashed :/ I am fudged!! I hope i havn’t lost this character! :[[[

The same thing has happened to me with 2 of my characters one being in the very starting area for the Sylvari. I tried restarting my computer and having a friend move my character but to no avail. If any help could be found towards solving this issue it would be greatly appreciated because so far I absolutely am in love with this game.

This was happening with me by Farmer Eda in Queensdale. Very frustrated I couldn’t log in without having to restart the whole frozen machine. However, I found the fix right here:

Setting the value to 0 fixed it. Setting to 1 did not.

This did not fix it for me. When I tried to log in with my characters, currently at 4 that have each crashed in different areas, it still says Fatal Disk Error 31 and then my entire Guild Wars 2 client shuts off. This has happened in the sylvari and charr zones right after the beginning area for me, and it has also occured in the azura area as well. It randomly occurs just as I am walking so I have no way of knowing when it will hit and currently that means I have to either stop playing or make another new character both do not sound good to me. I really enjoy this game and I hope this can be fixed.
