Since January and it became Worse in 13th patch:

- Game disconencts from nothing- Also, it got some lag Spikes from nothing, few seconds come back to normal, this never happened before and my connection is pretty stable when thoose happen.

This is happening at a rate now that me and also my guildies CAN’T ignore.

Has anyone found a way to fix this yet? Ive tried contacting tech support and they just keep blaming my adapters and isp even though all other accounts are working. My friend can even log in on my computer and play fine but my account does nothing but lagg. Its clearly not isp if its working for other people in the same house on the same router.

Just an update: Still have error 7. Unlike most of the people on this list I have been dealing with error 7 since Launch. I play on Darkhaven. Every couple patches this error code comes back. Upgrade your servers A-net.
Also I advise informing players that are affected by error 7 that it is an ongoing problem and Will be fixxed soon. Very few players have the patience that I do, and were it not for the love I have for the world you’ve created and the constant updates you put out I wouldnt even play at all anymore.
Please put this error to the top of the bug fix queue. I’m buying a new computer in 2 weeks specifically to play Gw2 and I would really like to see a fix by then. Please?

This. Exactly the same symptoms since the last maintenance. I get dc’ed every hour more or less, for a few seconds. I also got lag spikes a few times.

None of this has ever happened before, and my connection is definitely not a problem here. Please fix this!!!!

Had this problem for ages now. More so after january. My connection is fine. I’m playing at home (Finland) and my system is in direct, wireless connection with our modem.
Sent support ticket and in the end after providing several reports and files I was advised to contact my internet provider. The support took my case seriously and helped as much as they could but the problem still remains. I would like to do fractals without dying of lag or DC all the time. Hope this is fixed by the end of this month.

I’m here to post that I managed to solve my code 7 problem.

I did it by running DNS benchmark (specifically, Google’s namebench) and setting my DNS accordingly.

Prior to doing this, I get code 7 basically anytime. At most 2 minutes of game time before everything is unresponsive. Tried everything from -repair to constant ping to prevent modem idle, but nothing works. Now, my code 7 error is completely gone.

I don’t have any problem with downloads or with DotA 2 before (without this DNS settings), so I thought it’s on the server’s end. Turns out it’s on my ISP.

You folks may want to try. It certainly works for me.

I can’t play 5 minutes of WvW without getting an Error 7.

Got to do a personal story but as soon as I got onto a WvW map I couldn’t even make it to a supply camp before any skill I hit flashes, then the Error 7 window pops up.

this is happening to me as well. For the longest time i just thought it was my bad internet and that it was just acting up, but i’d be playing through an instance with my brother on the same network and only mine would end up dc’ing. Sometimes it’d dc in less than 5 seconds. Other times it may go for a few minutes but i find that if i hop servers it takes a bit longer to kick me for whatever reason. I’m on Henge of Denravi and it happens everywhere on the map.

In my case, the problem mostly persists from 9 PM – 12 AM UTC +7. At other times, the problem does not seem to occur at all. Can other players post the time, country, and server played here? I really would like to see if there is a pattern to this. Thanks! I’ll start.

I have been receiving the 7:11:3:189:101 error since the February update. It happens randomly after playing the game for about half-an-hour. I have been playing since launch and I never received this error before; nor have I ever had connections issues before this.

Country: USA
State: South Dakota
Time of incidents: between 10pm and 6am CST

after running some additional tests at home i can confirm taht this is not a hardware issue on my side. Changed Modam and router with different models and the gaming experience was the same. There is clearly something wrong with the game servers because they keep dropping packets. I will also jump on the band wagon and say that i will ask for my money back as i cant play the game and support isnt doing anything to fix it (despite clear indications that the IP addresses dropping the packest are on the game end of things).

Yeah tech support wasn’t any help at all. I’ve tried everything, even contacted my isp. I’ve been playing since the headstart, and NEVER had a problem. Then after the latest patch it happens all the time.

It’s really disheartening….

7…. problem too. I just do the daily achievement, and I’m done with GW2 for a day, it’s very disappointing. In other games there aren’t serious problems when they are patch something, please Arenanet, you can’t do this, because you will lose your player base. I like this game, it would be a sad thing, if it would fail

My patience is nearly at end,since the January update I had disconnections and costant lag every day that often made the game unplayable.
Now I’m waiting 26/2 update to decide if GW2 still deserve the hard disk space that take,with new games on release i think it’s time to stop giving elusive answers and give a decent game to play.

I am getting everyday every 10-15 Minutes 1 Disconnect and sometimes every 5 Minutes.

This started to happen since the last big Update and is still persist.

My Brother is playing in the same Household and don’t have any problems so it’s 100% not our Connection nor my Computer (i changed nothing on my Computer).

I hope you could fix this issue because it’s really annoying in Dungeons when you try to kill the Boss and get no Loot at the end.

This error has been happening to me since the last patch also. I’ve been patiently waiting for a permanent fix without having me to backdoor the “bejeezus” out of Guild Wars 2. Hey, I’m not tech saavy. I just want to open the game and play it as it is without having to do any clean boot (no idea what this) or what not. I apologize if I sound pretty stupid. Just losing faith here.

I have been receiving this error message as well. Seems to happen during American prime time (7 PM EST to midnight EST) when the servers are very busy. I am going to try the DNS benchmark mentioned before, but if not I might have to quit playing. I’ve been having other code 7 errors since Nov. 2012 and it doesn’t seem to be getting better. I never had a problem with the original GW, just GW2.

This is the third day that this frequently happens to me, it seems that I’m not alone. (I lagg, d/c, get kicked out multiple times within one hour). Never had those problems before.

System specs:

Intel I5-3570k
8GB DDR3 RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7950
Crucial M4 SSD 128GB
Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
60 Mb/s connection

I also crash a lot (again, never had it before), my log is included in the attachment. As far as I can see, the AMD is to blame? :p

That’s what is bothering me more then anything. No update no nothing. They’re just ignoring it, acting like it will just go away.

We can’t even get “hey we are still working on it.” People would be a lot less irritated if you just response. Doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad news.

I can’t do anything in game without the game locking up and I’m then kicked to character select screen with the connection error 7 code staring me in the face.

I’m also getting this issue now. If I can even make it past the loading screen I just get disconnected 30 seconds later. I can move around but if I try to cast spells they just infinitely blink and if I try to go to a waypoint nothing happens but I’m still getting charged for the cost of going to that waypoint. By then I get the disconnect error.

I’ve been lagcrashing for the past hours:

I enter a tournament, i get 3s lagspike EVERY 2s (meaning that i only have a 2s window to use a spell and i’m not even sure what the enemy is doing in the 3s lagspike, leading me to basically play randomly and hoping for some spell to hit my target) and then i eventually get disconnected.

I’ve crashed like 2-3 times during a game so figure

This happens almost every day that i try to play, sometimes it’s fine, but when it happens once, i can count on it happening several times in a row. When it does begin to happen the game is utterly unplayable.

this has happened to me 10 times in 1 hour and each time I was in wvw combat and I get stuck with a repair bill game was fine until you did some update that messed it up
