For those of you who do not know of Dulfy, she has made several guides and has generally been a huge help to the Guildwars 2 Community.

She’s just posted on reddit and made a thread stating that she has been banned for gold selling.

I think Anet needs to either give her some evidence of this or ban her. She was sent some gold and weapons for helping out for the Halloween event, but as far as I know as someone who uses her site daily to look at things etc, She doesn’t seem like she needs to be ban.

Did you say the word “gold” in any chat? Did you trade any large sums of gold with no same value trade? Some players have reported that using that word can get you banned, regardless of the context. Fact is, their system does data analysis of traffic on their servers, and when certain circumstances arise, the people involved are flagged. Meaning you can get banned in this game for not actually breaking a rule, just simply doing something the system thinks is criminal behavior. Also, wanna post up the ticket number? Please note that sometimes when posting information into a ticket, you may be asked to provide the same information that you have already provided. This is done when actually one of the pieces of information they require is not available, or they simply didn’t see it in the ticket. Please make sure your ticket is clear and concise.

At the end of the day however, you may or may not actually get your account back. I honestly don’t know what to think when reading other people’s cases posted on the forums. But you can raise your success of an appeal by posting a properly constructed ticket that is convincing of them spending time to review your case further than a mere glance.

I don’t know about anything Dulfy has said ingame. All I know is that she’s been ban wrongfuly and now the Reddit mods have removed her post from the sub-reddit.

Anet. please look at this. She’s been a great help to this community.

Also. She blocked gold-selling ads on her blog 1-2 months ago.
She also cannot post here because of the ban.

I saw the removal. Not the first time I have noticed censorship too.

I LOL’d at this. I currently work for Visa, and the amount of charge backs is insane. I know some people have been threatening legal, and if it comes to that.. It will not be good news for Anet.

I’ve just asked my wife, who is currently studying law about this. More after she responds back from Uni.

The subreddit most likely deleted the post as it has a policy of not allowing posts that are basically technical support posts aimed at ArenaNet, that only they can solve. While we all sympathise with Dulfy and would love to see her back in Tyria ASAP, the rules of the subreddit are there for a reason. At launch during that heavy banning wave there was lots of posts like this and the mods decided to institute a blanket removal policy so the sub didn’t get spammed with them. The official forums are a more useful place to discuss this sort of thing anyway.

Anyone who threatens legal over it will lose. Handily. Anyone who is currently studying law will tell you that. (If they are passing. Or even paying slight attention.)

It’s the last refuge of blowing off steam.

I like Dulfy’s guides and such. But making this post here really doesn’t serve any purpose. Dulfy has to go through support just like everyone else.

Hi everyone

As already stated by some users, the forums are not the best place to post information or links like this one. It is indeed unfortunate that Dulfy has been banned but this is a personal issue that she, and no one else, needs to clarify with Customer Support. Rest assured that at the moment Customer Support is working hard to restore the accounts of players that were not botting but got reported .
