Everyone disconnected & sent to another map
In fact, i can’t ping that IP anymore right now, the server has probably been shut down abruptly.
GW2 servers don’t support ICMP packets – in other words, if you ping one of the servers, you will get no response. This is normal.
Your problem is likely a routing issue between you and the GW2 servers. However, without a TraceRT we have no information that can verify this.
As stated, EVERYONE has been ejected from the map at the exact same time (we were all on teamspeak).
So it definitely can’t be a problem on my side as you’re (falsely) supposing.
Thanks for the ping information, didn’t knew about that.
I never said it was a problem on your side.
I stated that it was probably a routing issue. This can happen for various reasons outside of your control, as well as A-net’s or your ISP. This cannot be verified without a trace route. Please provide one.
I stated that it was probably a routing issue.
Not even probably. 150 were simply moved to another map. That’s not a routing issue. If it were, they would have been disconnected.
That behavior is what happens when an instance is flagged to be closed down. In comparison, when an instance crashes, you’re kicked out and receive an error message, assuming volunteering hasn’t changed that. Volunteering occurs when not enough people are in the instance. At that point, the instance begins a 1 hour countdown until it is closed down and everyone remaining is automatically moved to the next available instance.
Either they just happened to join an instance that was already being closed down, there’s a bug involving volunteering or the instance crashed.
