I was having the same problem, crashing every 2-5 min after logging in. I was seeing this issue right after I just put together a new PC build with an Nvidia GTX 670. Your issue seems like it might have to do with memory.
I solved my issue by making sure Anti-Aliasing was set to “application controlled” in my Nvidia settings and then when I got in game I made sure that Anti-Aliasing was set to “None”. I haven’t crashed since.
Hope this helps!

I’m still getting the same crash after disabling AA at every aspect. :\ shucks
Yea, so after I posted this I crashed again. It took a lot longer for me to crash though when I did this (I was crashing every 2-5 min of entering WvW).
AshleySegovia I just added the Test from Game Advisior
Guys I do believe this is resulted from ‘mostly’ because of NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Driver Service. Somehow stopping and disabling this service solved my problem. This may worth to try.
Right click to My Computer,
go to manage, and click services and applications,
then services,
find NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Driver Service,
double click it, stop it and set startup type to disable.
click apply and ok to exit and post results. I hope it works for most of you.
Thanks Rue, i’ll try this when I get home!
Try also turning off Anisotropic Filtering (AF) – application controller. If that doesn’t help, go with all default options in nvidia settings.
@Rue.9213: If you don’t use the stereoscopic stuff, you can disable all that in the nVidia drivers installation.
I usually only leave checked (besides the driver) the nVidia updater and PhysX because I have no use for either the HDMI passthrough audio driver or the 3D Vision driver+profiles (only install that if you have a 3D LCD/TV connected to the gfx card).
I’ve just tried the above and I have been playing for almost two hours without a crash (two days ago I crashed >8 times within one hour).
I have turned off the stereoscopic driver, the anisotropic filter was already turned off.
I hope this has really solved the problem. Thanks for sharing!
i7 + nvidia GTX540M
[edit]After 2,5 hours the pc froze But well it’s better than before… BTW it was fine until last Tuesday… [/edit]

Rue thank you for the tips but they didn’t work for me
Brand new comp, i5-3570, 8gb ram, GTX660 and just got this exact error preceded by some impressive massive lag in the overall UI of win8 + screen artifacting. All up-to-date graphic driver, dx and stuff so please don’t repeat the train of “make sure your peripherals are plugged in and turned on speech”
hi guys, same here

ANet plzz help
Same issue, just started happening this weekend. I already tried everything I can think of on my end, no new hardware of software changes has been made this issue started with the ‘fixes’ Anet did a day or two ago.
Definitly need a fix and/or ANet communication… the game is unplayable
I logged in a few times and played a few minutes before i eventually get disconnected whenever I use a waypoint… Sometimes login is successful, but after 3 login and 3 waypoints, I cannot even reach the character login screen anymore.
