The game is disconnecting from the server every minute or two but the internet works fine with everything else anyone know what the problem is? I get the error 7:11:3:189:101

Having the exact same problem for the last week or so. Can’t play for more than two minutes before it disconnects me.

same here, started this morning, i get dc every few minutes, sometimes map wont even load properly and i get dc.

Same issue. However, I’m getting disconnected every two minutes and it has been happening since for some time. This is beginning to verge on ridiculous!

Likewise. I play on Sea of Sorrows and was experiencing massive DC issues. All of my other internet-based programs seem to be working fine.

I had the same exact problem with the same exact error code popping up. After a quick search in the support forums i found the answer. I had to manually go in and port forward the ports required by Guild Wars 2 on my router. They give a link to a website that will give you step by step directions once you identify your router. Heres the link to the answer i found.

I just tried the port forward thing, and still lost my connection after a few minutes.

Getting this as well. Are you guys using the mobile authenticator?

I am disconnecting – about every 30 minutes. It’s happened 3 times since the update. I am using the Google Authenticator (have been for the last 3 days). I hadn’t had the disconnects until tonight after the update. Next time it happens I’ll try disabling the authenticator from my account to see if that helps.

Having this issue too, only since the recent patch. Never had a problem with my connection prior to the event going live, and I’ve disconnected 5 times so far post update, all with a code 7.

If you guys are using the authenticator, disable it. I disabled mine and haven’t DCed since.

I have the exact same thing after the Halloween patch, never had any problems before that. I just removed the authenticator, hopefully it helps. Thanks for the tip.

My fiancee who resides in the same home as I do has not had a problem since this patch but I have.

Hello, to anyone running this, their is some personal info logged. Not much. But the name of your machine is logged, as well as your user name. Also, there’s a list of active connections. That could be considered personal, as well, depending on whether it shows all open sockets.

Not trying to alarm anyone, just good to know what’s in there, in case you want to make some minor edits to remove personal info.

been disconnecting like crazy ever since the patch, and i’ve never had this issue prior. it’s not “lagging out” either, it’s just dropping me completely in the middle of combat. error 7

It’s getting really annoying, since I keep getting disconnected in WvW, usually just as I’m about to make some progress with my map.

I get this : Code=7:11:3:189:101

Also earlier it was something like: Code=5:11:3:XXX:XX

Why dont game developers make these error codes easier to understand?
Something like: Yo Dawg, youz Routah iz mezzed up! ??

After disabling the Google Authenticator on my account, I have not DC’d in over an hour. It appears to have fixed it for me.

That would be right.

I’m getting disconnects without an authenticator about every 20 minutes which leads me to believe it’s not an authentication issue. This is immediately after todays patch. I also noted that my valid connections in my account settings led to an error. when I tried to disconnect them. (https://account.guildwars2.com/account/security/)

I’ve been getting this error every 10 or so minutes since the last patch as well. First time I’ve heard of this authenticator… how do I find and disable it?

Same, it’s happening to me extremely frequently. The game is nearly unplayable because of this.

Same is happening to me. However, the Orginal Post. Was before the Patch came out so we should more then likely make a new thread. Marking it after the patch.

Had same issue, turning off Mobile Auth worked for me. How? No idea…

I’m having this issue as well, however, I do not wish to turn off Mobile Authentication I hope ANet resolves this issue soon.

same problem here with disconnecting. i installed the authenticator last night before the update, played the game for a few hours and it was ok. so it makes me think the update is causing problems.

Same issue here, had no problems at all until earlier today.
I was in WvW, got the ingame message about being ported to Lions Arch due to a new WvW build, then while in Lions Arch, got a message about the client restarting due to a new build.
Since then, I have been losing connection the server at roughly 30 minute intervals.
Very, very annoying, especially when in mid combat, and trying to get back into WvW and getting into a queue.

Started after patch as was all fine last night. ISP say nothing wrong locally with the network.

I’m being disconnected as well. I am using the authenticator.

I am getting disconnected as well… using an authenticator. I will run a diagnostic to check GW2 for issues. I’m also going to run Wireshark during my next connection and monitor the packets sent to and from my laptop

Unless, that is, packet inspection on my local computer is against the Terms of Use on GW2.

Had this problem a while back and it was resolved. Returned with this update. Diagnostic included.

I’m getting an error on both my computers and getting disconnected quite often. Mine has only happened after the Oct 22 patch

Disconnecting every 15 mins also, really ruining my Halloween experience.

Seems like i get disconnected every 30 mins, almost exactly. I’m on a mac, running authenticator.

I am also disconnecting every 20 minutes or so, but i just added the authenticator to my account last night a few hours before the patch, but since the patch i have been disconnecting. its prob related to the patch+ authenticator, i dont wanna disable my authenticator tho……. (afraid of gettin hacked)
