The game is disconnecting from the server every minute or two but the internet works fine with everything else anyone know what the problem is? I get the error 7:11:3:189:101

Hi groundhog – I’d like to collect a Network Diagnostic report from you. To do this, please follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 folder.

2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”

3. Right-click on “GW2.exe – Shortcut” and select “Rename.”

4. Rename this file to “Guild Wars 2 Diagnostic.”

5. Right-click on “Guild Wars 2 Diagnostic” and select “Properties.”

6. Locate the “Target” line and add the following to the end " -diag"
Your target line should look like this: “C:\Gamse\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” -diag

7. Click “Ok” to save your changes.

8. Double click “Guild Wars 2 Diagnostic” to start the test.

Once completed, please click “View Results” and save the results to a text file on your desktop. Once saved, please attach that to the thread for review.

I had the same exact problem with the same exact error code popping up. After a quick search in the support forums i found the answer. I had to manually go in and port forward the ports required by Guild Wars 2 on my router. They give a link to a website that will give you step by step directions once you identify your router. I had no problem before Oct. 21st
I just tried the port forward thing, and still lost my connection after a few minutes.

I am disconnecting – about every 30 minutes. It’s happened 3 times since the update. I am using the Google Authenticator (have been for the last 3 days). I hadn’t had the disconnects until tonight after the update. Next time it happens I’ll try disabling the authenticator from my account to see if that helps.

Having this issue too, only since the recent patch. Never had a problem with my connection prior to the event going live, and I’ve disconnected 5 times so far post update, all with a code 7.

If you guys are using the authenticator, disable it. I disabled mine and haven’t DCed since.

I have the exact same thing after the Halloween patch, never had any problems before that. I just removed the authenticator, hopefully it helps. Thanks for the tip.

Hello, to anyone running this, their is some personal info logged. Not much. But the name of your machine is logged, as well as your user name. Also, there’s a list of active connections. That could be considered personal, as well, depending on whether it shows all open sockets.

Not trying to alarm anyone, just good to know what’s in there, in case you want to make some minor edits to remove personal info.

That would be right.

I’m getting disconnects without an authenticator about every 20 minutes which leads me to believe it’s not an authentication issue. This is immediately after todays patch. I also noted that my valid connections in my account settings led to an error. when I tried to disconnect them. (https://account.guildwars2.com/account/security/)

same problem here with disconnecting. i installed the authenticator last night before the update, played the game for a few hours and it was ok. so it makes me think the update is causing problems.

Same issue here, had no problems at all until earlier today.
I was in WvW, got the ingame message about being ported to Lions Arch due to a new WvW build, then while in Lions Arch, got a message about the client restarting due to a new build.
Since then, I have been losing connection the server at roughly 30 minute intervals.
Very, very annoying, especially when in mid combat, and trying to get back into WvW and getting into a queue.

I am getting disconnected as well… using an authenticator. I will run a diagnostic to check GW2 for issues. I’m also going to run Wireshark during my next connection and monitor the packets sent to and from my laptop

Unless, that is, packet inspection on my local computer is against the Terms of Use on GW2.

I am also disconnecting every 20 minutes or so, but i just added the authenticator to my account last night a few hours before the patch, but since the patch i have been disconnecting. its prob related to the patch+ authenticator, i dont wanna disable my authenticator tho……. (afraid of gettin hacked)

Hey guys if you’re getting error code 7:1000:7006:836:101 specifically then as a temporary workaround, as other players have noticed, I would unlink your mobile authenticator from your account until this gets worked out.
