Guild Wars 2

This happened like 3 times today, at random time I get booted out of the game with an error msg saying “Bad Password”?!?! Sorry I kept forgetting to write down the error ID but does this has to do with my iPhone Auth linked to my GW2 account?

I’ve been having this problem as well. Randomly the game will stop and present a message “incorrect password” and close the game. I’m not sure if this indicative of a hacking attempt or such, but doing a quick google search seems to suggest this sort of thing has been happening in the past, when using quick travel waypoints. But this error doesn’t occur right after traveling, and I’m afraid I don’t have the error code either.

Gaile posted in a different thread that the devs are aware of the problem and are looking into it. No further info available so far, but at least we know it’s a known problem now.

I got the message of bad password and was booted out of the game awhile ago and now I can’t log in. Game keeps telling me connection error retrying…it’s been retrying for about 3 hours now. Anyone else getting this?

Just had something similar happen to me today – Bad Account Name or something like that. Wasn’t too big a deal, but hopefully we get a fix soon.

i would reccomend submitting a ticket concerining this, and wait for a reply from Anet addressing the issue

Same here i’ve seen this in the past aswell. I got kicked out of the game and said “Wrong Password”

I think this is a bug though but not sure.
