HOW IS THIS WRONG!!????

I’m guessing you mentioned something in your post that is considered an violation of the posting rules? Rest assured, the forums are administered by REAL people, not an automated system (I’ve been infracted enough to be quite sure of this). Also, if you want details on WHY, you should PM the moderator, not post this here (if I’m not mistaken, challenging a moderator ruling in a public post is ALSO a violation of the forum rules (tho, asking WHY is not necessarily a challenge, I guess). I doubt a moderator will answer in this public post, however.
I’m also guessing that English might not be your first language, so there could have been some misunderstanding in what you posted that the moderator mistook for something that violated the posting rules? I’m not bashing your English (it’s quite good), but it’s easy for communications to be misunderstood in such instances. If English is your native language, then I apologize for my misunderstanding of that.

Nope I’m American. Teach chemistry at an accredited university, but I did notice some typos in my message. I FIGURE I used key words that were flagged for offering 3rd party software, however all I stated was there was an amazing effect in orr, and let people know if they wanted to check it out. Also, your right I am not challenging the ruling on being infracted, but it was super annoying to wake up and find that email. Oh well let bygones be bygones and if they want to respond I would greatly appreciate it.

You would not PM a Moderator, but send an email to forums@arena.net as per the Forum Rules: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/rules
Sometimes, they make errors (as they are human) and will remove the infraction. It’s happened to me a couple of times.
Good luck. =)
Sorry about the language mistake…..my bad.
While I do think they use 3rd party programs to identify certain posts in a timely fashion, I do not think there is any type of automated thread closure or infractions issued….a real, human moderator would review the post and react to it. As stated above, humans can certainly make mistakes.

I’ve been infracted completely by accident before. A moderator either misread my post or clicked me instead of someone else. An email cleared it right up. But you won’t know unless you ask!

Howdy all,
We do not use 3rd party programs for moderation. Every single thing we do is handled by a real person. All that said, there are sometimes mistakes, which is why we have an escalation path. You can email forums@arena.net and discuss it with the Community Team.
