For a few hours now I haven’t been able to properly play gws because the connection to the server just disconnects. It goes on and off all the time. It’s almost like a massive lag spike happens and then loses connection.
My internet connection is completely fine. I was even able to play youtube videos without delay while trying to connect on the client. I’m not sure what to do.
Has anyone else encountered this?
I’ve attached a pic of what it says when I try log on.
Also I come up with this:

Error Code: 7:1000:7006:462
Any help please?

Same here I’m unable to login and I’m also getting various different error codes

On the rare tries that i do login to the character selection menu, the game will get stuck on loading a map and then get disconnected with another new error code.
7:11:3:191:101
Same problem too. Now in, but severe lag. Not going to play.

My client says:

I can’t login at all at moment. I had a serious lag spike and then it finally threw me out. Now it won’t even log-in and I get the various codes you have been getting. Tried to disable Kapersky but no luck. Restarted and restarted the modem too.

That’s what happened to me too parapapao. I’m in Australia. Very annoying when things stop working. Hopefully I can get in before the 10:30 start. Might stay up tonight then.

Looks like “almost” everyone from SEA/AUS have issues logging in/staying in game/constant lagging.

Just got in the game and tested it twice. Took a bit to log-in and load my char I was playing but seems fine now. If you still have trouble just try every few minutes. And be a little patient with the log-in as it is still quite slow.
Correction: It might still DC you.

Guess ill just throw my voice in, cant login constantly getting the error msg. On the occasion I have managed it, i get the message telling me I cant see the login server.
Managed to log in to Lions Arch, but the screen went black except for the options menu. Get this:

Same error, I’ve not been able to play since 4hrs ago (SEA).
Was trying to get over my disappointments over the Mordrem Invasion event and focus on trying to grind the blossoms necessary to buy the Selfless Potion and toxic armours. Now this, guess I hardly stand a chance now.
Plus I’m eyeing the total makeover kit so please, please fix this before the sale is over.

Same here as well, I am from Singapore. Everything was fine when I logged in for a while about 10 hours ago.
Getting issues with logging in now with various error codes:

Also taking some time to load the forums. I had to repost this multiple times.
When I do manage to get into the game, it would get stuck at character select screen, with the “Play” button selected (greyed out). After a while, it would bounce back, needing me to click on it again.
Pretty unfortunate that we are unable to get in to at least do our dailies, and to participate in the (time-sensitive) weekend mordrem invasion event..

same here, well not just the game, even connecting to guildwars2.com is having issue.
did couple of pings and trace route, looks like the route going to login server and guildwars2.com is having issues.
connection to 64.25.38.51 = massive amount of packet drops
connection to 64.25.40.116 = perfect, no packet drop
connection to guildwars2.com = massive amount of packet drops
comparing the results, the point of failure are the *.telia.net routers
because as you can see, the only difference in the route is after leaving my ISP and before entering NCSOFT (62.115.10.106)

yes, i can confirm that singapore’s users are having issues. some managed to connect but is lagging. some cannot even connect at all. personally, i had to use VPN to connect.
i did a tracert earlier on, one or two routers apparently is down or dying or whatever.

Has there been any response from anet over all these HOURS? Nothing on twitter, nothing I’ve seen in a couple forum posts.. seriously, do anet not have 24/7 support team?! If so, that is incredibly unprofessional. I worked for years in a very small IT company, and we (a couple of us) handled 24/7/365 support because we actually cared about our customers. But we needed to. I suppose when you’ve got hundreds of thousands of addicted users though, no need to bend over backwards to show some care.
There is no excuse anet to not have timely communication with your customers at the very least. Some issues cannot be fixed in a timely manner of course, but to not even communicate something over the course of MANY HOURS… sigh

The forums aren’t access to support. If you need asssistance you send in a ticket. They have people who do post on the forums, but do you really think those people can work 24/7. They do need sleep.
Also looking at some of the trace routes posted, a lot of the issues start at hop 5, which is really outside of Anet’s control. It’s not even at their ISP level. So they can’t really comment.

if u wan free vpn, u can try mytunneling

Its not like i payed money to play this game, or that i spent any money on gems or anything like that (sarcasm was inserted) . Seriously disappointed in ANET. its like we are last on the priority list for bugs and server issues just because we aren’t playing from US or EU. -_- Its the weekend… the one time i actually get to play the game that i payed for! Please give us australian and other OCE players hit by this stupid lag spikes and login issues gems to compensate

ummm so it just happens to hit people in melbourne and other players in australia. yes, clearly an ISP issue when every single other online game and internet connection is fine….

Just to add on, the error is indeed gone with VPN. Not sure who’s responsible for this outage.
I did what this reddit post suggested and can login again, enemies and allies take abit of time to fully load but I can tag stuff on the event.
Just get the trial.

This isn’t just affecting Oceania. I’m west coast in the US. I am completely unable to log onto the game, load the gw2 website or gw2 wiki. Only reason I’m able to post this is thanks to the VPN solution from reddit.
