As per title, I cannot log in. The launcher pauses a long time, then gives me a message that the log in failed. I was able to get back in after the first game crash, I think I got back in after a second, but on attempting to swap to an alt the game hung and I could not re-enter. I found a Reddit thread with others saying they were also experiencing this, and a link to http://www.mmoserverstatus.com/guild_wars_2 showing that just one server is down.

Thank you for the report. Our Network Center let us know a short while ago that they can confirm a drop in player counts across multiple games, including Guild Wars 2.

The team is working on this and will have it corrected as soon as possible!

If we need any information, such as trace routes or specific locations, we’ll update to let you know.

Thanks for your patience.

I got something like this as well. I crashed while in fractals, my whole party reported lag and someone crashed before me; then I crashed and could not get back into a map. The game logged in slowly or not, then sometimes I could get past character select screen to a loading screen of LA but then it would crash; most times it would just stay at character select until it crashed. Internet connection is fine and all.

I live in Eastern Europe but play on NA server. I happened about 45-60 mins ago.

I submitted a support ticket for this, I hope they fix it…

Update: The Network Team has updated us to say that they noted issues with certain ISPs, and they have tried to address that problem by rerouting inbound traffic. They believe this would have addressed most issues, and that is confirmed by a noticeable increase in on-line players, so we feel we’re out of the woods on this one.

Wish I could say it was helping me but….I am just standing in DR with all my settings on lowest because that’s the only way to make the game somewhat playable lately.

You start having packet loss right at your modem/router. Try contacting your ISP and see if they can figure out why.

This isn’t fixed for me at least still. Still happening as of 30 seconds prior to posting this. http://www.mmoserverstatus.com/guild_wars_2 also still shows Authen Server 3 down for NA. Can you please check with the techs again and see if they’re still trying to resolve this for those of us still affected?

Thank you Gaile, I have been experiencing this terrible lag with ping spikes to 4800 and fps drops to 0 literally, for over a week now, even when I am not doing anything, just standing around. The other night I dc’ed 6 times in wvw, the game keeps freezing up due to lag and crashing several times a day. I am glad this is being looked at and hopefully will be fixed because many of my guildies and friends are experiencing the same problems as well.

This screenshot of pingplotter was from 6/5, I only have internet issues with GW atm. I logged into gw1 the other day and it also was showing a high ping.

Tried logging in just now, first dc’ed on select screen, then when I finally loaded the game would not stop lagging, tried to switch maps and loading screen went on forever until I closed the game manually. Here is a pingplotter screenshot during the loading screen.

Since I posted about this affecting me earlier in the thread, I’ll note that after Gaile’s initial post about the reworking of ISP routes my game returned to smooth functioning. I’m in the mid Atlantic area of the east coast.

I get DC’d every time I log in about 3 min after loading into the game.
I’ve tried constant pings to google with no problem and internet speed tests seem fine and no noticed internet disruption. I’ve tried going through other client ports and closing background processes but still every time after a few minutes i get dced

Your latency starts at your ISP

You have packet loss and latency problems right from your ISP. That is not Anets servers. You should give your ISP a call.
