Guild Wars 2

I logged out to character select screen, and when I tried to enter on another character, I got a Network Error message. The error was too quick to copy exactly, before the game quits to the login screen. I’m able to log in fine, but when I try to enter the game on a character, I get the same Network Error message. Any thoughts?

I bet everyone of you is on Jade Quarry, I am getting the same error and JQ is the only server listed as full in NA right now. Meaning that it’s filled to the brim even after Arenanet raised the population caps, meaning that we’re all kittened.

well if you are not planning to WvW, guest over another server and do what you were doing.

same issue as others i get network error and a error code but the client closes to quickly for me to even see the code! Im on JQ as well

Guesting to another server works, but I thought this is why overflows exist. Also update your error codes Anet to indicate the server is full.

I am from Jade Quarry and I got the same error. When I check the world selection, JQ is “Full”. Consider guesting somewhere else until this is fixes.

Guests should be kicked for people that belong on the server. The population should be such that you can log into your own server when you come to play the game. I’ve already restarted my computer, reset my router, etc. because the message says “connection error”. The message should communicate the proper problem (well, actually, if you belong on the server there shouldn’t be that problem in the first place, technically).

Well. If JQ is overcrowded, then guesting to our server needs to end; or have some sort of limit on it. By the way… I wonder if this could be used much like throwing around useless siege all over Wv3 to force a max limit? I bet it could. They might not be in Wv3, but guesting does prevent server players from entering. Just saying. Maybe I’m rambling? I haven’t guested another server yet. I’ve been on JQ since day 1.

Again its the same problem. Too many guests problem. Request priority slots for JQ residents! It’s all a plot by SOR and BG!!! ~conspiracy theories abound!!

I have been in JQ since Day 1 and I can’t even login to my home server because of guesting? Seriously? Residents > Guests – shldn’t guests just go to overkitten flow?

Guesting would be a terrible experience and pretty pointless if you can just get kicked at any random point. Imagine being in a dungeon with your friends and you suddenly get kicked during a boss fight or something.

A better solution would be to have a maximum number of guests allowed on the server, and once that quota is full there can be no more guests until some log out.

I agree it sucks to have to wait, but hey, full servers means healthy populations!

Whatever the solution, the servers shouldn’t be allowed to go over capacity like this. Players with the server as their home should ALWAYS be given priority. A guest cap might just be enough.

I believe they should change the error message instead of the code, I thought the problem was from my network so I had to restart it a couple of times before googling the problem

I am not talking about kicking guests that are in dungeons, as you do not have to be ‘guesting’ on a server to enter a dungeon there (it’s a different process altogether); however, those that enter the world through guesting on the character screen to do things like dragons, etc. should be given a short time to leave or be kicked (like the updates force us to relog). This would allow them to finish up what they are doing & leave voluntarily.

If you want to WvW, simply guest a different server and then go to wvw the same way you do it from an overflow. Apparently JQ is full atm, no one can really log in so guesting becomes the only option to play.

For what it’s worth, I’m having the same problem as the rest of you, but I was able to get into WvW by first guesting on another server, and then entering WvW from there. I’m not sure this is supposed to work, but I’m in our EB right now, so…

P.S. At least our tick doesn’t seem to be suffering!
