Guild Wars 2

Basically I was online when the patch went live, no big deal, log out to update client… then all heck breaks loose. Game wouldn’t download the last file and was stuck intializing for a good 4 hours…. Finally I had to reinstall the game, even that didn’t work.

I had to bypass some stuff with a command in the properties of gw2 for it to even download. Now that I have my game reinstalled and working (if you can say that) I have pings in excess of 900 for the last 2 hours, it’s bad… Anyone having the same problems, or know of a way to fix this?

EDIT: Likewise, used same method to get game to patch correctly, and now the lag has sorted itself out.

I uninstalled the game few days ago so today I tried reinstalling it (I didn’t even know that we had a patch, just felt like playing). I’ve been having the same issue, it gets stuck at 0/0 and I can’t even get it to begin downloading. I reset my whole OS and tried to download it again with 0 success, it just gets stuck again and crashes.

How did you fix your issues? I’m getting frustrated and desperate over here!

Having similar problems. My fps has been pretty close to the same, but my ping has ben skyrocketting to 1400+, making it impossible to play anything.

My fps dropped to 19 directly after the patch. Really hope they fix it, cause I cant really do much /:

Me too, can’t play since the patch., my framerate went from 35-45 to 17-20.

Anet: Just roll back.

Same, can’ play worth crap now. I try and launch a skill and nothing happens for a solid 5-6 seconds. I had this problem last patch too and the further it got from patch day the better it got but I’ve had enough. I live in america and play on an EU server but lag for me has never been this bad for this long.

I have been trying to play gw2 since patch on March 16th with no success. I am able to get to the point in the game where I am about to log into a map area, and suddenly my screen starts flashing. I have to manually turn off my computer to make this stop. Any ideas as to what is happening?

400-600 ping here in Texas. That’s 3-400 more than I’m used to. Duels are a crapshoot, almost meaningless. I have no idea what Anet did, but I guess it wouldn’t be an Anet patch without breaking half the game.

My game also won’t run since that last big patch; I wasn’t sure whether to open a ticket or look here for answers.

really uncomfortable to play like this

Cant play PvP at all atm without dragging my team down….
