Luridftw, I appreciate that you took the time to reply but I have to disagree with your assertion that ‘getting your account hacked is due to your own fault’.
My boyfriend used a password and email address unique to Guild Wars 2 and has never been hacked in any game. According to the Arena Net press releases it seems that hackers have got database information and are using data stolen from fan sites and other games. It is this, combined with the fact that a hacker can change the email address on an account without the need of a confirmation email which has caused so many hacked accounts. A hacker can obtain an account number and password in a myriad of ways and I don’t think it’s ever fair to make the victims of a criminal act feel partially or wholly responsible.
That’s the next step if this somehow goes a week without a response. One more day…

Hello Gaile, Thank you for taking the extra time to do this. We all appreciate it.
I haven’t been able to use my account for over a week now. After going back and forth trying to get help from support they eventually “gave up” and asked me to submit a brand new ticket. My first ticket that they gave up on was submitted on 8/28. The latest ticket I submitted was on 9/8, and still hasn’t gotten a response.
My incident number is: 120908-006278
If there’s any way this process can be expedited I would appreciate it. I bought my wife a brand new gaming pc for her birthday to play this game, and she can’t even play it today (which is her birthday). At this point I think it might be easier to just buy a new copy of the game and ask for a refund for the copy that is having the account issues, but I don’t want to mess anything up.

Yeah I’ve blocked further purchases since day one, and the transactions are very clear and should be easy for Anet to refund.

Thanks again for getting some help the last time, unfortunately I seem to have been pushed to the side again and this is a matter of legal action to be taken if we do not come to agreement (myself and Arenanet) but nobody has answered myself in the last 2 days or even looked at the extra information I provided.
I do not appreciate having to have waited this long only to be not dealt with when they finally speak to me again. Its very unprofessional.

I would like to personally thank Gaile for helping my ticket to be resolved.
In closing though, I would just like to ask if you would take a look at how the ticketing structure works at anet. If my ticket had to be correctly placed in the right queue it implied I had done something wrong when logging the ticket.
As I was mega careful when logging the ticket it could have been as a result of a vague header that sent me down the wrong path. These types of things should be maybe made more clearer (almost stupidly so) So that scenarios like that cannot happen.
The other point I wanted to make was the fact that even though my ticket may have been in the wrong queue it was still incredibly old by any tickets standards. At least 17 days old. Some form of alarm bell must have gone off somewhere to require a more personalized approach sooner.
I shudder to think how long I might have waited if I had not commented on this topic.
I am incredibly happy though, and wish only the best for the support department. Hope these thoughts help in some way.

I’m posting this on behalf of my friend since he can’t post from his support account only.
His account was hacked on the 9th of September and he made a ticket stating this.
Today when he went and looked for the status of his ticket he couldn’t find his ticket anywhere so he felt like he had no other choice than to open a new ticket (he knows he shouldn’t have done this under normal circumstances).
His new ticket also explains all this. He’d be most grateful if you would look into his case.

He’s sorry for the inconvenience and unfortunately has no record of the original ticket number.

Just wondering if my Guildmates Ticket (see below) has been put onto the prioritized list of ticket numbers? He’s a patient bloke and just wants to get back on line, or else he may have to start playing NHL13 (since there’s an NHL lockout now)
He knows that the major part ATM seems to be the disconnected emails for GW1 & 2, but the original ticket was mainly based on the linking of GW1&2, but since the request of information it seems as though this ticket has either been swept under the rug or not placed into que.
Can you please send out an update please, as this ticket seems to be dragging past a week (Sept 6)for the 2nd request of all information (GW1&2 codes). Please let the CS know that one of the emails listed in the Ticket is no longer used, and it states that the master account email is correct (this maybe the reason that he is not recieving emails about the ticket updates)
