I can login in to existing characters just fine. However, when trying to create a new character, I keep getting the “login servers are down” message along with the error code in the title?

Whats up?

I got the same problem. I just created an asura necro about 45m ago. Can’t create asura thief.

Same, i’m looking for a way to fix it but no luck, i have tried everything they said in the message but still no new create character.

now its say that MY internet connection is bad

having the same problem. tried to create sylvari ranger. then tried to create random characters about 5 times, no luck.

Yeah I’m trying to get a friend into gw2 and I can’t even show him the starting events because of this error… Please fix soon! Thanks!

Yeah I’m having the same problem too. Trying to create a warrior and it won’t workittenep getting this error code and the “Could be your internet” error.

what the heck anet fix this or tell us what we can do. We just got someone ready to play gw2 for the first time and this is their first impression.

Same issue. Creating a character produces network error, 1010:6:6:419:101.

I’m getting the same message as everybody else. I can log in to existing characters fine but can’t create a new character. Occasionally the error message says “Character limit exceeded.”

Come on…
…now I’ll lose a name I’ve had reserved since release.

Yep, had this account with toons since release. Have no problem logging into the Launcher or going into the game with an existing character but cannot create a new toon because of “Network Errors”.

I am in the same situation as you. I have 4 characters I can log in with no issues. Cannot create a new character though. Hope it’s resolved soon.

Same exact issue. Just bought it a few hours ago, and now I can’t make a second character. 42:0:0:0:101 and then Character creation limit exceeded. This is crap. I want my money back if this doesn’t get fixed soon!

Besides the 42-code I get 1010:6:6:419:101. Haven’t been able to create a character the whole day -.-

I have the exact same code… 42:0:0:0:101… just bought this game about 5 hours ago.. and now I can’t play. I have for the past 3 hours been trying to “fix” my computer because I thought the issue was it… now I get here and see I’m not alone.

worked for me! just restarted game and it workd!
