error code 7:11:3:189:101
Same disconnects error 7 whatever here in texas seems the bots are able to play though as 2000 of them ran past me several times.
After having to reset my password (since my old password wasn’t working) I logged in to see my character 7 levels higher (I think I may have been hacked) and when I try to play, it gives me the error code 7:11:3:189:101, I’ve restarted my computer, I have no firewalls that would prevent me from playing (I had been playing the game just fine since the release until now..) I’ve done the port tests and still nothing …. A-Net please help… this is killing me :/
I’ve got the same problem here in Switzerland… Yesterday evening was the first time I recieved the error code 7:11:3:189:101… Today morning and afternoon I played GW2 flawless.. Now it’s evening and I got 7:11:3:189:101 again … Iocked out, restarted my computer but nothing helpes… Idk what’s the problem but it’s a real pain in the neck…!!
Hey David, I think a lot of these problems are happening because of hacks. Last night I changed my password and after a few hours my account was working. I think A-net is deactivating accounts that showed signs of hacking. My advice to you, change your password, wait a few hours and hope for the best. I hope this helps!!

strange changed my password after 4 disconnect 7:11’s and did ot get discoed again.

Well thought! I also had a similar thought, involving the ‘anti-botting system’
I heard someone say that A-net would give botting accounts some kind of lag… (perhaps curse them with code= 7:11 ?)
Then again, if a passchange would work… It’s most likely hacks… I’ll go try n change my pass, if anything good happens, I’ll update here!

I never got disconnected before I changed my pass (some time ago… maybe just as much as untill my first code=7:11)
I have been getting code 7’s now as well seems to have started when they updated last thursday I had never had it before than and nothing on my side changed. I woudl occasionally get a code 58 before but now I get booted from the game every 5 minutes or so basically making the game unplayable. I had played since near launch with no issues until I tried playing this past saturday, after the asuran patch.

I get (Code=7:11:3:189:101) after roughly 5 minutes of logging in, tried everything ANet have suggested. It’s defo not my internet, works fine for everything else. ;(
Playing from Switzerland, no issues from head start until Oct 15. Since then I get 7:11:3:189:101, the game has become unplayable
Three months on and still suffering from this problem.
Tried something new this morning. Ran the game with the windows resource monitor open.
It showed no packet loss or high latency for any of the GW2 connections. But I was still instantly lagged out and eventually disconnected after selecting a character and loading into the gameworld.
Perhaps a/the solution.
I stopped getting the error message when switching to a cable instead of wireless.
So something must go wrong on the wireless part.
Got new cables/modem etc from the provider still same issue.
Then they told me to switch the wireless channel.
It seems in my neighborhood/neighbors, they used often the channels 6 and 11 for broadcasting.
The showed me how to change the broadcast channel of the wireless router to one not used by my neighbors.
This seems to fix the loss of packages.
I have same problem…Problem start with last update…now I can play in game…7:11:3:189:101, My connection (wireless, router, network) has not changed.
i may have a simple solution that might fix most if not all of your problems ive been getting this error on and off since release i used to be able to just run a repair tool after the updates and it would semi fix it but now it just doesnt work well today i was trying to run an instance and it just kept kicking me off line so i got a little kitten so i did some fooling around in the properties and changed the compatibility to vista service pack 2 and normally i would get massive lag then crash but with vista sp2 you get the random massive lag but it doesnt disconnect you it for some reason pulls back like i said this worked for me i dont know if it will work for you guys its been running for about 3 hours straight now without a crash.
i still think arena net needs to figure out this problem fast cause it really is annoying
(and right after i posted this i finally crashed so yeah they need to fix this)

My patience with their terrible handling of this is exhausted. I’m requesting a refund.
For anyone still hanging in there, try moving to a lower population server. The severity of the problem is linked to server pop. I’ve reported this but they prefer the it’s-your-IP line.
Moving to one of the lower pop servers, I went from being instantly lagged out and then disconnected every time I logged in to actually being able to play for a few hours of the day (at quiet times) and not being lagged out and disconnected for a good 5 or more minutes.

my problem fixed after disconnecting my d-link wireless adapter (dwa 566), and replaced it with a new Linksys USB adapter (AE300)
SOLUTION — Hello everyone, after reading this entire post I decided to contact arena net directly, they replayed to me fairly quickly, first thing the reply said was you do not have windows 7 service pack 1, GW2 requires SP1 for win 7. Updated to latest win 7 SP, no DC issues yet, played last night for 4 hours straight, mind you before this I would log on for 15 minutes and it would…. you know error 7:11 blah blah.

I’ve got SP1 and since I bought the game a few days ago I’ve been able to play fine, but today for some reason, I get this stupid disconnect with this error about every 20 minutes like clockwork. It’s really annoying.
I have been getting this the last two nights. I think it is just the increase in players due to the Halloween event.

I have been getting this error as well, ever since the Halloween update. Game has been rock solid for me since release.
Same issues as described by others, lag makes the game frequently. issue seems to be exclusive to Guild Wars 2, all other online games, programs and services are working flawlessly.

Ofc there are days when its playable…but now its in kittens again From the day 1 this problem is still there and please dont tell me to try other modem/router/pingplotter/or whatever because only gw2 is causing problems for me….i can play lineage2, wow, eve online, wot, starcraft2 without problem for whole day.

New player here and this is happening to me ALL the time. It has been virtually unplayable. Looking forward to this getting fixed though, for now, I might need a refund.
I don’t see a fix in sight. And from going through all the pages in this thread, the tech support went from looking for a solution to pointing the finger of blame at the consumer. “We’re not qualified to find a solution so it’s your problem”
Okay I’ve been trying everything. I went into properties change run in compatibility to service pack 1 and run as administrator. I’ve also seen others with success with running service pack 2. Try the different compatibilities under these options. The servers are clearly cheap, so finding the best compatibility for the comp to run at the highest performance is key. Also lower graphic settings to lowest possible.
Scratch last post. Still getting booted. Was only temporary.
I’ve done everything suggested, but I’m still getting the error as well.

I just replaced my Firewall. Opened ports 6112, and 6600 based off recommendations elsewhere.
Still randomly dropped from between 5 min and 30 min of play
IP and Domain XX’d out of attached file due to not wanting bored children trying to hack my server.

I too was getting the disconnections with the Error: 7. Kept getting disconnected every 2-30 mins, it was very frustrating.
The thing is I have had my wireless router for nearly 7 years and decided to upgrade it.
I have been connected for nearly 6 hours straight with no disconnects.
My issue was more of the router itself.
I like playing this game. but, error 7 dosnt allow me to play it. ive tired the fixes that i have found posted over the internet. they are pretty much useless (at least for me). i really hope that the developers are working on a patch for this bug.
This is making GW2 unplayable…..smh….

Not just US , problem in europe too with this. I get 5-10 minutes of gameplay and im dced. I play other games and I have no problems
After following all of the recommendations (dns flush, error logs, etc) with no results, I finally took the advice I read on here about turning off your computer for half an hour. However, I went a step further and unplugged my modem/router/computer for an hour. I have AT&T as a carrier so I had to go for an hour with no internet or tv.
I’m not sure how I survived, but I found these bundles of paper in my house with writing on them. Some people call them “books”? They seemed to help. ;-) Anywho, once I plugged back in and turned it all back on, my problem was solved.
I don’t know if it will work for anyone else, but worth a shot. Good luck!

See, I have AT&T also..and I actually called them because my net was slow anyway. Since they came out and worked on my speed, this issue also disappeared.
Just got this game, installed, and 30 seconds into starting zone I get this error, 7:11:3:189:101. And then am unable to login for 5-10 minutes (restarting computer resets this). But everytime I successfully login and get in, I am dc’d with the same error 30 seconds in. Firewall is down, SP1 downloaded for W7, Anti-virus off.
What gives? Why’d I pay for this? -_- Never had this happen in 5 years of playing mmo’s.

Yup it’s spreading, first came lag and now the disconnects with code 7:11:3:189:101
just started happening for me today.
Although lag has been for past month or two on and off (been busy so not played much) usualy worse in an evening. Presumable when most people logged on, as this morning was fine for the 30mins of play I had.
Now it’s just constant DC’s this evening
Come-on ANet I know this game works as was playing from launch and had no lag etc. so what’s changed and anything I can do to help fix?
Same thing here, game is very laggy and then I get disconnected, however I have a fiber optic 100mbits connection in Paris and no problem whatsoever with other games.
I have the same problem.. if u realize that only 40% complains about this then there are alot people that just play and accept their codes.. i been getting these codes for a long time to. on 2 pc’s notebook and deskop.. same problems and other games play fine..
Now i toke my notebook to my gf house and it played just fine never had dc issue in 12 hour a day that it was on. but at home it can be dced whitin 5 minuts.. i especially opened all poorts.. updated every hardware in my pc’s but no it does not work i also tried repairing..
the only thing i did not do is reinstall my pc and reinstall gw even though i dont see the point of that i will reinstall the game to the C: instead of

Strangely after my last post two days ago it all started working fine, for that evening at least. Yesterday was a very laggy and un-playable at times. Now it’s back to DC’s with the code 7-11-3-189-101 error. I will also add I’m in France but play on EN servers as my preference. Connection is good 600k/s on downloads most other games play fine.
Fingers crossed it gets resolved before I’m on holiday next week.
i have been having this problem for a few days now, its really starting to affect my opinion of the game. its pretty much unplayable. and TF2 runs fine, so it cant be my connection. maybe ill rock some soldier until this gets fixed…

This problem just appear since last night. Impossible to play in WvW but running in lion arch look fine…
