I had the same problems, turn off your firewalls, and disable your anti virus while playing and see if that works. The servers are really touchy when it comes to security, just make sure you fire them back up when you web browsing and stuff.
Turned off firewall and Anti-virus, but still having the same problems.

Hi Fribble – If you have any security software running you may have to configure or disable the software to allow you to connect to Guild Wars 2. You will also want to make sure that you have TCP ports 80, 443, 6112 and port 6600 fully unrestricted and accessible, both inbound and outbound.
Have got the same error even with turned off firewall and antivirus.
My internet will disconnect and reconnect from time to time (especially when I have netflix on, for some reason) but will not let me onto GW2 with this message.
I found that restarting my computer always fixes it, as well as just going to my network and sharing center and turning the connection off then back on manually. Not a perfect solution but hopefully it will help.
I got it up and working it took alot of digging through AVG I don’t know 100% what I did but all I know is it had something to do with AVG
I’m disconnecting too, today. I rarely do that.
Aand another one just dc’d too, in Fractals.

Edit; No AVG, No Netflix, nothing suspicious on my end.
Having same issue and all virus scan programs are disabled.
It seems the error has gone. Whatewer was the reason.

You folks aren’t the only ones suffering from this. It seems it’s randomly started happening just a few days ago. I would say after December 25 it’s gotten worse actually. Yesterday for me was really bad. I couldn’t play more than a few minutes before getting disconnected.
