Frequent Disconnection Issues
Any news would be nice this is still happening.
Is this in relation to any particular zone? I know the Cursed Shore and Fireheart Rise have been pretty bad with lag and disconnects of late. Otherwise that really sucks and I hope you can get a fix.
Ian: you should also file a support ticket. Only a few posts on the forum get lots of attention, but support tickets always get looked at by someone who is paid to help resolve issues (you will probably get a generic reply at first, which might not relate to the issue). Click on support at the top and then “ask a question” (no account needed — just an email address). Include your server and whether it happens in every zone or just some (or you don’t know because you are usually in the same place).
Despite the fact that your other games aren’t affected, the problem might not be on ANet’s end either. There’s a lot of internet between your computer and their servers.

Having the same problem with getting disconnected from server code 7:11:3:189:101 and it happens all the time to the point to were I can’t play the game. I disabled firewall and antivirus so it is not on my end. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
This started happening to me too recently. I definitely don’t think it’s a problem with my computer or internet – the game ran smoothly until around last week.

^Some recently had the problem began, such as myself.
Here is what was posted that helped some people (it didn’t change anything for me though):
“1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder.
2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
3. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Port Test.”
4. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
5. Edit the “Target” line to include /clientport 80 at the end.
Note: Please make sure /clientport 80 is outside of the quotes
Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” /clientport 80
Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe /clientport 80”
6. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.
If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 5 again.
7. Double click “Guild Wars 2 Port Test” and try connecting again.”

Chris: you should contact support and create a ticket so that they can help you troubleshoot. There are all sorts of things that can go wrong, not just the ones posted above.
7:11:3:189:101: The game client lost its connection to the server. Please wait a few minutes before restarting the client and trying again.
That is consistent with trouble maintaining your internet connection, e.g. perhaps a wireless router or an ISP that is having trouble serving all its customers. However, ANet can help you directly.
This has been happening to me over the last few days for the first time. Cant even finish 1 fractal run without dc its annoying. Ive changed ym graphic drivers. Even changed my micro filters, phoned up my ISP to check if everyone is ok on there end. Done everything people have said on this website.
Never had a problem before with my interent connection. Ive got a feeling its Anet End which has some problems.
@IceCold: I feel yah bud. I’ve been getting the same issue as well for the last couple of days. Let me guess it just started randomly right? That’s what happened to me as well. I was paying fine for months until only recently. Seems I get disconnected every 5 or 10 minutes. So don’t feel like your the only one!

Constant disconnects for the last 2 days makes game unplayable for me. Been here since Beta, no changes, never had d/c issues before. Checked code for fix, but have all firewalls/anti viruses turned off, so it is not the cause of the error. What are we supposed to do Anet? I cant even stay in the servers long enough to type an error ticket?

Create a support ticket and contact them directly. Posting on the forums only delays a response that will resolve your issue. This is also true even if there is a systemic issue that they have to resolve: the more data they have, the more likely that they can identify a root cause on their end.

Every game always has people who DC for reasons that have nothing to do with their computer or ANet’s servers — there’s a lot of internet between the two and sometimes this is the reason behind the disconnets.
Yea Xruptor started happening over the last three days. Never once had an error code 7 since the first day GW2 was launched. And to be honest it really only happens when im Fractal Dungeons. But it has happened the odd time in other dungeons. Funny thing is my internet connection does not disconnect its still on and working fine.
The game itself disconnects for the server not my internet.
Getting really annoying and it still happening today.
Something has changed server side for this to happen. Ive not changed anything to my internet or anything else.
Quick question Xruptor by any chance are you sharing your internet connection with another pc?

Same problem and it’s dreadful. can’t even finish a Spvp game anymore with out lagging out/dcing. This is ridiculous.
I’ve been having this problem for a week… I can’t stay on for more than a minute before I get disconnected… and it disconnects EVERYTHING. Not just GW2. And my modem reboots. Its ridiculous…
I get the same problem now I can’t even login I get “Connestion erro’s detected. Retrying ….”

Was there a fix for this? Having the same problem on a fresh Install. Game played fine all day yesterday, today can’t log in for more than 5 minutes before getting booted.
