At 18.52 CET (a few minutes after logging on for the evening) I had a 30-40 second lag spike and during the below pathping I actually lagged out completely and were kicked to character select.

First sign of trouble seem to be the last jump from telia.net to ncsoft.com.

Hi,
I also have the same problem since today. Till last night everything worked without any problem, but cannot start GW2 today.

1. Is there already a response or a solution to solve the problem?
2. Where do I find that pathping? (Cannot find it in the bug-report of the game-client)

This issue is annoying/severe enough for me to lose my forum virginity. I started having long periods of extreme lag followed by disconnect and then unable login to game some time this week. These periods seem to occure mainly in evenings for me (starting about 16:00 GMT or so) and they seem to last hours.

Ok, im fix it. Find this info for other treath.

Open the command prompt as an administrator and enter the following commands:

netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /flushdns

Reboot and test.

There’s where your problem is. Alter.net has nothing to do with the game servers.

Also, the game servers won’t respond to ICMP packets (pings), so they will always show 100% loss although they are fine.

This is incredible. Such a nice game crippled by bad bad bad servers. How can i play PVP with such incredible lag, constant D/C ? The last 2 weeks were terrible, do something. S-E Europe, Desolation.

Thanks so much everyone for jumping on this! Now if you’re still experiencing this issue, could we get some pathpings from you all? Specifically, from this output:

pathping -4 -q 100 206.127.159.152

Why is none of you never explaining on how to do such a thing. It’s like we’re all PC-geeks to you. What’s thing pathping, how do I do it and what do you need from it?
Oh and, when do u expect us to perform this? After the delay/dc? While being dc’d?

PS: many ppl would appreciate if you would explain steps on how to do such tasks if it’s out of the ordinary…

Huge skill lag, disconnects followed by login screen of eternity followed by non-responsive skills while chat works fine followed by disconnects.

It’s still happening, and it’s been happening since the 18th Nov patch, and I have rarely felt so unwanted as a customer as I am feeling now. I’m happy someone’s taken the time to placate us with this “looking into the issue”, but that’s literally all that has been done.
