Do 10 min of prime 95 Max FFT
then try game if it works okay .. then lower you V…..

Yeah just look, if it throttle okay?

1.32V for 4.0Ghz – good
on my Fx i have for 3.5Ghz 1.325v and for 4.1Ghz 1.415V

what about FPS?

if your mobo throttle your FX .. it cannot throttle 4 core it use like 40-45W less ….

FPS is still around 60+ while walking around solo..
Its definitely lower but i can take lower fps over insane lag spikes anyday

I’m having the exact same problem and need to know.. What exactly fixed your issue? Disabling cores? This is driving me nuts.

Fx8350 with asrock 960GM/U3S3 FX
8gig ddr3 1333
120g ssd
Ati hd 6850

Every 12 seconds fps drops from 30 to 10 no matter what settings

Ok it turns out the only thing I needed to do was get the windows 7 fx update and turn off turbo in bios. I hope this helps people with this problem in the future!
