so i got this laptop http://www.dell.com/ph/p/xps-l412z/pd
and i wonder how well can i run gw2. i have heard that 32 bit data can’t be used on a 64 bit so i am patching from the start. these are the specs that i have which have variations in the product. find the full specs at the link i gave

If you got the version with the Nvidia 520M graphics it should be reasonably good for a laptop.

But bear in mind that laptops just aren’t cut out for high-end games, regardless of how much they claim to be, so don’t expect the same performance as you’d get from a gaming desktop. You’re going to be on nearly minimum settings, with most settings turned down to lowest if you want decent FPS performance.

good enough for me. it’s just for portability. been saving up for a new pc.

eh I wouldnt say that lol

a friend of mine has a BEAST laptop she uses for on the go video processing and decoding, animations, and so on
last i checked it had something like
a mobile i7 @ 3.7Ghz
16Gb DDR3
2x mobile nvidia GTX 6xx ( cant remember the model number, but I know they are high end)
Granted the unit costed her around $2000 as a desk top replacement since she is always on the go. But if you have the money to spend, a laptop can game quit nicely =p

OP that laptop wil lrun GW2 but dont expect great performance, specialy in WvW. if ur PvE’ing most the time u should be ok, but grpahcis settings will likely have to be on low since the 520m is a low end media card AND its a laptop version so very weak.

The game will run in LOW probably ok, ur CPU won’t bottlenec the 520m cus it is a very low end card, almost as slow as the intregrted chip inside the i5. U will have a smooth experience with all the eyecandy turned down, don’t expect to have good frames in WvW but it will still be playable most of the time. So in conlcusion the game will run fine, just don’t expect it to look pretty.

i think the 520m is better than 9400gt based on windows experience index.
edit: what is the total size of gw2? asking so that i can estimate the time i will patch.
