Lag / Long Loading and Error: 7:11:3:189:101
Getting the same issue for about a week or two. Skills just flash when you click them, nothing happens, then suddenly it all catches up and everything happens at once only to freeze again. WvW and PvE are unplayable. Start fight>Freeze> wake up dead or watch others players blink around.
It was fine, and i’ve not had any change of hardware or software, other than arenanet’s auto-updates, and it worked flawlessly before. I’m in the UK, using Virgin Media, and on Gunnar’s Hold server. Is it just a UK problem?
The game is completely UNPLAYABLE. Around 8-9 PM(GMT+1) all the lagging started. Lags appear every day at the same time and its very frustrating. All other online games working fine on the same computer and internet connection. Please fix this problem -_-

Same issue here like most others. For me it started after the patch this week. Massive lag spikes which would often disconnect me from the game.
I actually just tried guesting on another server. Had no lag for around 15 minutes then transferred zone and bam the spikes are back.
Even tried a reinstall of the game from a fresh download just to ensure it was not a problem with the client.
Like many others here it I am from the UK using Virgin media (cable). Again no problems with the internet in general ( as mentioned before I downloaded a fresh GW2 client last night from the link on this site in around 90 mins).
Looking at other posts it seems to be a mainly UK problem (although strange how it seems to occurred with different time spans – mine as mentioned has only been for the last 2 days).
Cannot play at all right now due to crippling skill delay, every night starting around 6pm just as many others have said. Same story.

I am in the US playing on an EU server. I have been having this issue as well so I really don’t think this is isolated to just EU internet providers or anything user location related. Seems like the issues tend to come up around updates/patches. I really honestly don’t know what more to do, seems that re-installing/repairing/restarting etc don’t fix anything and I suspect I will just have to wait it out. Hope that the A-Net folks can give us some answers soon.

No monthly fee = 0 maintenance. Sad but true.
I have this issue as well as other members of my guild in the UK.
I’ve noticed that it occurs on my server Underworld after around 6 PM BST.
I want to highlight a method I’ve been using to circumvent this for other users: If you use the guest functionality to guest on a different (and perhaps lower population server) it seems to completely remove skill/movement lag. I have had luck choosing Gunnar’s Hold as a guest server where I’m finding no lag at all during game play.
I do see there is actually lag whilst I am typing to my guild though, which I suspect is hosted on a different server anyway (chat lag seems to be completely independent to skill/movement lag).
In the interest of players providing more information to the Guild Wars 2 staff, you can monitor the lag by using the Windows program resmon.exe (it comes with Windows 7) and choose Gw2.exe under the Network tab. I wonder if we will be able to highlight a common remote IP address range or so by collaboratively providing this information.

Tried this, However doesn’t really help me as i play 90-95% of the game in WvW. There was no lag for about 10-15mins, but did come back.

I see what you mean, I wouldn’t say this is particularly helpful for people who do WvW unfortunately.
On the note of the lag returning, I would suggest trying another server. I did try more than one – the first was as unplayable as my home server.
This is simply a work around. The real problem needs to be addressed by Guild Wars 2 staff and their networking/server teams.

When you guest on a different server, you don’t switch to a different connection, it’s the same. You can actually check this by using Resmon, like you said lol. There’s a range of networks you connect every time you login in, which is something like 64.25.3*.*, I tried different nodes, having similar consequences.

I’m thinking Anet needs to hire more staff, Their customer support used to be pretty good but the last few months it has been abismal.
Live Response Team MY kitten .
265 replies, over 6700 views, and still nothing…
I’ve been doing some more troubleshooting and can confirm this is NOT related to level3.net as I do not route through their equipment.
I’ve done network tests from my connection to two different GW2 server IP addresses: 206.127.159.183 (Gunnar’s Hold, Mount Maelstrom) and 206.127.159.243 (Underworld, Mount Maelstrom).
I see absolutely no difference in the network path for either server, even up to the point it reaches PlayNC (Anet) 206.127.157.102 (206-127-157-102.plaync.com).
It stands to reason that the issue is beyond this device, but this is most likely a firewall as packets do not get responses beyond this hop.
Please investigate this.

I would encourage anyone reading this thread that has guildies with the same issue to come here and make a post. Clearly it doesn’t seem like a serious enough issue to Anet so perhaps by flooding the thread with a lot more people will get their attention?
Can’t say I’m a huge fan of this silence or the attitude Anet seems to have adopted towards its player base.

Guesting actually works for me. I can’t tell you why it does, or how it does, but it usually fixes it.

It definitely changes. Even different maps have different IP addresses. The IP address range for the game servers are 206.127. *. * (not sure about 3rd octet, probably starts at 128).

Hey guys we’re currently looking into this issue. To help us along with our investigation, could you please provide your location in addition to your ISP and Netdiag reports. To create a net diag report, please follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 folder.
2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
3. Right-click on “GW2.exe – Shortcut” and select “Rename.”
4. Rename this file to “Guild Wars 2 Diagnostic.”
5. Right-click on “Guild Wars 2 Diagnostic” and select “Properties.”
6. Locate the “Target” line and add the following to the end “-diag”
Your target line should look like this: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” -diag
7. Click “Ok” to save your changes.
8. Double click “Guild Wars 2 Diagnostic” to start the test.
Once completed, please click “View Results” and save the results to a text file on your desktop. Once saved, please attach that to this thread (be sure to click “More posting & formatting options…” at the bottom).

I’m getting the same issue, unplayable lag after around 6pm UK time. I have noticed that the lag seems to be only in certain zones and can sometimes be resolved by changing zone/character.

My ISP is Sky, Manchester UK, and I did not have this problem this weekend, so it stands to reason that something occurred in the last couple of days. (I had some lag yesterday but its much worse today.)
I’ve also been getting frequent disconnects today, with the error code: 7:11:3:191:101. Which I have never experienced before today.

Ît took them 8 months to recognize and deal with the permastealth/culling issues. For an even bigger issue like this they might need 1-2 years so please, be patient people.

Culling existed since the beginning of the game. This issue, however, just began for most people very recently. It should be easier to retrace their steps of what was changed in order to find out what’s wrong and fix it.
By the way, it’s obvious you don’t have this issue or you would realize really how unplayable the game is. If it would indeed take 1-2 years, people will just leave.

In a different thread Ashley said they no longer needed reports, and had no ETA on a fix. It’s been “passed over”, which could mean anything really.
Do NOT hold your breath. The last “lag thread” went a month between replies.
Personally, I’m considering askign for a refund as it’s not playable.

i only seem to have this lag after about 7pm uk time and it runs through to about 11pm. this may not seem like a big issue but as this is when i get to play then it is really.

Im having the same symptoms as Juliankr, game runs fine with minor spikes throughout the day. Then it becomes completely unplayable in the evening up until about 11pm where its then fine again. (Seemingly when everyone has gone to bed and there is nomore WvW or PvE groups awake -_-)
This has only started recently in the last week or so. (May have been going on longer but I had local connection issues not related to this)
Would love to play my game flawlessly again :/

I am completely fine during the day, 100% lag free. After 7PM GMT I get unplayable lag where my Skill bar will flash, everyone will run in the spot and then I get booted to the Char screen.
It renders the game unplayable, and forces me to log off.

I assure you Arenanet. This has got WORSE SINCE THE DRAGON BASH PATCH. Seriously it is driving me crazy.
You guys already have my networkdiag and a pingplotter.
I still am baffled by the tracert and why you don’t allow EU servers pings and ‘hide’ it.
