OK Fermi.2409 ! Thanks for you opinion ! My post above your last one, counts for you too !! I am saying some things that you might haven’t noticed! Like :

“From my point of view i am 100% pleased with the money i invested when i bought AMD 1100t ! "

" Like it or not it’s proven to work pretty good and i never had any problems with it!
It’s not too slow for GW2 … you have to try it so that you have the experience!"

And yeah i agree with everyone that said if i wanna play GW2 better or utilize 100% my GPU power in GW2 i have to change CPU … ! But i don’t really care doing that cause i don’t wanna achieve perfection !!! Yeah i am a little bit behind perfection… some reflections behind !! I can live with that …
Anyways i am happy the way i am playing ! I achieve 100% GPU utilization in other games …. ! So … please no need to argue more !

hello everyone , Im running 2 6950’s in crossfire with eyeinfinity. My procecessor is amd 940. My fps stays around 20 to 40 with max settings. I have noticed that if i turn down the view distance I go 40 to 60. If you guys are playing on a single monitor you should be getting at least 60 fps. If not you may need to get driver sweeper and reload your video drivers for a clean install. Also i use msi after burner to monitor and overclock my video cards. A bad install of video drivers will kill your performance every time. I always use driver sweeper to uninstal my old drivers. Then i boot in safe mode and run driver sweeper again to make sure the old drivers are gone. Restart your computer and install the new drivers. Also make sure your Windows power plan settings are set to performance, or you will not get the energy you need to drive your computer 100% . I also have 1000 watt psu. Make sure you have enough juice to drive your system or it will suffer. Hope that helps some of you out. I had to say something after reading this because i know its not a cpu or game issue. My 15 2500k system is down at the moment so i have been useing this old cpu and motherboard also 8 gigs of ram. Im playing with 3 24 inch monitors as well getting the same performance as most of you. Go to Guru 3d to get driver sweeper.

Hi; thanks for the input !
I just wanted to add some informations about driver uninstalling, in fact AMD provides an uninstall utility that garantees that all drivers are properly cleaned "even Chipset drivers are cleaned / uninstalled)

I’ve done this numerous times while trying different versions of Catalyst drivers !
the result is that there is no change ! the problem is not end user related; it is game side, i’ve been playing since the beta, never had problems platying even with my old Radeon 4490, problems appeared with the last patch without me having modified my hardware or my drivers / Os (nothing changed on my side). My setup performs very well on all other games i play (Bioshock Infinite / Assassi’s creed III / Remeber Me …)

all we can do is wait for developers to come with a solution.

Having the WvW settings at lowest/lowest will affect your PvE culling. That might be why your getting good fsp. I hope that your fps issues are gone for good tho

Before the patch I also had those settings at low and i had around 15-20 fps with all details at low with stuttering when turning camera, so i don’t think it has to do with FPS performance, it’s something changed with the last patch, anyways, thanks for the comment.

Haven’t had much time to play since last patch and till today ! and ! Unfortunately It seems i’ve been too enthusiast too fast ! in fact the game performance haven’t changed that much ! there are some areas where i get good fps ! and some where i get awful FPS !

Have had to pick low details in practicaly all of the settings to be able to play at ~24 FPS !!

Now I’m SAD !

hello, im posting a screen shot of one of my toons with the video settings and fps. Telling ya get driver sweeper and run it. Also boot in safe mode after you restart your computer to run driver sweeper again to make sure all traces of old drivers are gone , before putting new ones on. The amd software will not take them out of your registry as promised. Also download the game profiles for crossfire and configure it to run the profile when gw2 is started. You dont have to crossfire for the profile to run. Also try out MSI afterburner to monitor and over clock your card. Dont use the AMD stuff. Turn it off. Just run the AMD crossfire profile for gw2.

I discourage users from running vsync. The game is not running triple buffered and vsync does add substantial input latency in GW2s case so unless you loath tearing… don’t use it. Run with a frame limiter at your displays fresh rate.

If you must run vsync use a tool like d3doverrider to enable triple buffering otherwise performance takes a bath… Even then you still have the added input latency. Many people get used to it and claim not to notice but it is most certainly there there.

Just adding my two cents here to say I’ve tried all of the in-game graphics/ATI Catalyst Control Center setting adjustments listed here and in the sticky post, but still suffer from single-digit frame rates when turning the camera or, when standing stock still, every 6-10 seconds. I see this frame rate drop happen even on the character select screen, and I’ve been playing since beta with no comparable issues.

I’m using an ATI GeForce 5800 series card on an ASUS G73JH laptop, not expecting 60 fps here, but I have gotten a reliable 30+ until recently.

Because all cards use DirectX 11, not DirectX 9 which GW2 is based on.

Anet said they would bring in DX11 after release, but so far we have hear nothing at all! This is why the game barely used most GPUs as the DX9 is TOO old, yes it allows people with 10 year old PCs to play the game, but at the expense of lower performance from most gamers’ PC who will have PC under 5 years old.

When Blizzard brought DX11 to WoW, players with up to date GPUs said they didnt see that much increase in detail, but the FPS increased by up to 25%!!!

This is why Anet should implement DX11 immediately, forget fortnightly content, spend all the time on DX11 so that real gamers can play the game as it should be, a lot of players left the game due to lag, culling, skill lag, and low FPS. If the game was based on DX11 as well, this may not have happened.

So it doesnt matter if you have the best GPU on the market right now, DX9 relies more on your CPU than GPU, so if you want better performance right now invest in a new CPU not GPU! If not then we have to wait, and hope, Anet bring in DX11 support.

I have the same problem as the OP. And I do have DX11 installed.

People running XP 32 bit with DX9 cards will not be able to play the game well anyways. Anet cut its’ throat to save its feet with that decision.
The engine is god awful and will be for the entire longevity of the game. There is 0 hope of better performance in GW2.

I DARE a dev to respond to the fanbase regarding performance issues plaguing the engine. No, I double DARE them to say ANYTHING regarding performance issues at all.

The silence is deafening.
