in the process of updating but is stuck on 0% with 1 file to download. any idea’s?

Same problem last 3 updates. Rest of my internet conection is running perfect

Yay Anet.. You broke it AGAIN. 2 weeks ago I had the same problem with updating. Stuck at 99% with 1 file remaining. It took 5 hours to finally decide to download that file.

This time around its not even downloading the executable, nevermind the data files. I’m really dreading patch days nowadays.. 5 hours is UNACCEPTABLE to make me wait just to download the kitten patch.

COME ON ANET.. What the hell are you guys doing over there???? You’re destroying your reputation of having fewer glitches / problems than any other MMO out there. At least for me anyway. I’m rapidly losing faith in your systems…

Anet whats going on 2 weeks ago it took me 9 hours for update. Update starts and then stops, I close game and open it again, update continues and stops. This I had to do for the 9hours. Same nonsense now again, still on first screen update.

See you 2 or 3 days, because tomorrow will get stuffed when they bring in the 2nd update to fix this one.

Just to add, having the same problem and so is everyone I know with the game (all on EU servers). The predownloader starts but very quickly the speed drops to zero and then it doesnt move again.

It’s been doing it for the last couple updates. Usually if I restart it enough it’ll eventually keep speed and fi ish the predownload, after which it’s fine. But it’s not working tonight Almost makes me wonder if it’s being done on purpose to stagger people downloading the actual patch.

I’m posting this in an attempt to bring further attention to this issue. It seems when issues affect a minority of the player base, the devs couldn’t care less. Even though there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of posts on these forums regarding this very issue…

Same here.
Been stuck at the last file for 3 hours with a very slow speed (10kb/s) even though my internet connection is functioning normally at a 4Mbits.

How big is that patch anyway? I’ve counted until 210MB til it got stuck at the last file. But it’s still downloading data.

This is only my second day here. Lucky me.

EDIT: nevermind, it just finished downloading the last file. Download speed jumped from 10kb/s to 400kb/s suddenly and it was over in a minute.

I was having similar issues and came across an old thread which suggested changing your DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 in Primary and 8.8.4.4 in secondary.

It worked for me!

I re-download Guildwars 2 after about 8 months of inactive. Now I’m geting this connection error dectected retrying……thing. Not the best experience I ever get from a MMO developer that has done this type of game for so long. I was excited to come back and now you just destoryed it.

Did a search and I found post about this issue before beta. Even a guy did a youtube version on it…NCsoft Arenanet what is this all about ? You can’t even fix a 2 year old bug ?

DNS setting no good to me either… Arenanet can you fix your crap ? So many people having the same issue its not our computer or connection.

I can login and download any other MMO with out issue it’s your GAME! FIX IT
