Given that BG is the victor of this week they are probably the top dog in this tag team relationship (or shall I say has now established themselves as the new, current #1 Tier 1 server).

Aside from the bad lag that we all experienced during this weeks match up, overall it has been great fights all week. /salute to BG n JQ from bringing it this week. I for one can not wait till week 7.

Yep, but we knew that already. And I think most of you take the next week against SoR off too. That’s the way BG always worked. Win a week, lose two, recruit some guilds, win a week, lose two weeks.

So, we will have two boring matchup in week 2. One for JQ and one for SoR.

Great fights this week, despite the queues this match up was one of the best I have experienced.

Remember, 7 weeks is a long time in WvW, server empires can rise and fall in that time so no one can really be sure how the next 6 match ups will play out.

I will give you a hint. JQ comes in 3rd week 7.

The best you can hope for assuming you win the fights against BG and SoR on their own is 27.

Coming into week 7 both SoR and BG will be sitting at 26. Only question I guess is who takes first/second. And both first/second give enough points to give JQ 3rd overall.

That is 6 weeks away, transfers will happen both in and out for all three servers and the others in Gold, PvE patches will come and go and there are various holidays and other game distractions which can all have a bearing on each servers performance.

I agree that your “prediction” is a very likely outcome and its certainly a bit rich to call it a hint since anyone can see that given its a copy of this week but its not a certainty. Just look at the last 7 weeks match up results to see how things can vary.

It is going to be interesting to see how things pan out and what might be left to play for in that final week. Certainly adds an additional dimension beyond 1 week play.

I don’t normally post, but in the past 7 days I’ve seen some incredibly dirty things being played that ruins the whole spirit of who is a “better server”.

In the week prior to this so-called Season 1, JQ beat BG by a definite margin, to the point of embarrassment.

This week, I saw daily 2v1 fights against our server. Double our numbers in a 24/hr clogged-up situation where our real fighting guilds could not get in or change locations because of the achievement process that Anet decided to introduce for this Season.

We fought with mostly PVE militia eager to get their achievement points.

Once you open the floodgates of PVE into the realm of PVP, you break the true PVP champions of each server from doing what they do best.

I know Anet is trying to please everyone. Sure, I got my Veteran of the Mist title and my key in the first week endlessly focusing not on my server objectives but my own. And I’ve been playing WvW since day one of GW2 launch.

Something is really screwed with this ‘Season’ concept. I pity those true PVP folks like ATM and GE and MERC who give their life for this game with brilliant fighting coordinate for server glory, only to be cut at their knees by the flood of PVE newbies clogging up their vital resource lines.

BG and SOR, u may have won this round. But you deserve zero respect for what you did to us. Phui.

JQ tears… so. delicious.

I think you will find those are Beyonce tears. For every person from JQ whining about 2 versus 1 I can give you an equivalent person from SoR whining about the same thing in this very thread.

As usual the same bods see a post from someone and think hey, that person must represent the entire server they are from in some borg mind sort of way. Of course, some of us are wiser than that and appreciate there are plonkers on all sides.

well it was quite useful 6 months ago to run alts thru at the end of the match up and collect a monster ton of siege for commanders

but now, yes, I get your point.

I don’t think thats the case. If SoR would have pushed for first and failed JQ could have over taken them and been in 2nd, which is bad for both BG and SoR. Given the score at the time, it was smarter to secure 2nd and confirm JQ taking 3rd. That said it could have easily been BG in SoR’s position with how close the score was all week.

even with the EU force SOR has doesnt top your guys oc/sea players compared to ours. Good fights but overall BG has coverage set it seems with players to spare.

You do realize that our SEA was logged in at normal times but when SoR/BG have map blobs on each map and with t3 fortifications at full supply our SEA can’t break those very quick they take time.

Previously in the week our SEA wasn’t having to crack tier 3 wp’s on every map with us having only 2 keeps with wp’s and of those most low if not empty on supply. Harder to go offensive to regain ppt when you have no supply.

BG has 3 HB,RK,Coin. JQ has 1 -SR and Tohu is in the process of coming over from what I’ve gathered neither of which field the numbers IRON/WIC/HB/RK/Coin do but we love having them. They fit extremely well into our community and I wouldn’t trade them for anyone.

Reading about 3+ hour queues on JQ, makes me happy that BG didnt stack before the league, leaving us 4 out of 5 timezones without a queue on atleast one map, even with all the pve achievement hunters.

SoR now have 3 eu guilds and BG 2 please JQ get some eu guilds so Tarkus (Waha?) dont burn out for pulling extra

BG has 3 EU guilds ( Coin, RK and HB ). Though none of these guilds fields every day, I would still say we have 3 EU guilds. Also you shouldnt forget SR on JQ. I know they may be to small for you guys to fight, but I know they give us a good fight.

I never see RK anymore :’( i thought they died and SR are like a 10/15 man guild (FROM WHAT IVE SEEN, because ive hardly seen them out)

A lot of drama this first week of Season 1 (nothing new). Either way good job and great effort from all three Tier 1 servers. We all know 2vs1 is a common thing in T1, whether it be by SoR+JQ against BG or BG+JQ against SoR or even BG+SoR against JQ, kitten like this has happened before The League, will happen during The League and after The League. It just a matter of people accepting, and moving on. Majority of the people who whine about this 2vs1 thing are people who are new and have transferred from other servers to T1 only for the league. Welcome to Tier 1, hope you enjoy your stay. Again good job SoR, JQ and BG.

I’m kind of surprised no one has mentioned the 25ish(?) [SLAY] that transferred to SoR from Underworld (EU) and merged with [IRON] before Season 1 started. Did that not happen?

First of all, fail for trying to turn my battle of wits comment back on me, it didnt work, and my post that you quoted was a massive joke. While IRON was on desolation, Felarina Dalure had a reputation in server meetings for saying how brilliant his guild was doing and how they never wiped (this was not a joke). That whole post was a light hearted joke at that, if you scroll further down in that thread you will even see felarine dalure reply to it saying how its nice that people on his server have a sense of humor.

So yes, i know who RG are (I quoted them in the post as you can see) plus IRON fought them many times. Thanks for reinforcing your lack of understanding and my comment about you being unarmed in all this. This imaginary machine gun you claim to have, can you please stop shooting yourself in the foot with it?
