We don’t either. Whether it was a zoom hack or not, we’re uncertain. We found it quite surprising coming from SBI tbh, this is more of an AR thing.
Good attempt at hills SBI, I was impressed how you held our force at the north tower and had golems waiting at hills. If you guys had pushed instead of build siege at the bridge and the side of lords room of hills you may have got the cap. We had like 15 inside while reinforcements were arriving. Also, make sure to contest the keep in the future because we kept Waypointing in.

There seems to be an awful amount of arrogance, all of you calling all of AR hackers/exploiters based on the actions of a few individuals which you all have trouble with as well. If we as a server condoned and engaged in such activity would you all really have your keeps? If we were all cheating would you all be winning?
Only 2 real arguments here. 1. we aren’t all cheaters and these are the actions of a few so maybe you can just leave it where you should in your reports to anet or 2. we all cheat but you all have so many people that you are everywhere at every second and thus your victories are not a matter of ‘skill’. Take your pick.

There were no recent holes. I had been on watch for 3 hours in the late morning/early afternoon EST and from what the night crew said, It had been at least couple hours before I logged on since a breach occurred. I spotted an AR at the vista while running around refreshing siege. (S)he spotted me and vanished immediately. I got no pic and therefore no proof so this whole thing wasn’t worth bringing up. It had no effect and we held Hills for another day at least. Honestly, I kind of assumed this guy just needed the vista and didn’t want to wait for AR to get into Green hills.
Just wanted to say “Thanks!” guys and gals for your participation and leadership while you were part of AR. Really enjoyed rolling with you guys and fighting the good fight. I hope you find what you’re looking for up in T2.

If they are going to Dragonbrand, its a terrible choice, imo. That server is a mess. Mass of numbers and a community in turmoil. Do your research ALS, before you take you’re people there. Many who transferred there have left over the past two weeks.

Pretty much. Though since tiers don’t really exist, I’ll just say server ranks 4-7 seems to be one of the worst places for mismatched fights on a weekly basis and probably the cause of some of that turmoil in DB. Far better off looking lower and balancing some server needing more NA coverage (as I think thats when you guys are mostly on).

With the new matchup system maybe you will get lucky and get put with a few servers that match your population better. That way you will loose ranking but still have fun.
Don’t give up the fight though. Continue to play go havoc BP. Giving up will only hurt your server more causing it to plummet. Putting up a good fight under adversity is when you can make your colors shine.
If ALS has not transferred yet at least finish the match before transferring.
basically, ALS (in general) decided that trying to ‘change’ a very serious sPvP server into a serious WvW server wasnt a good idea. AR is very good at PvP but for the playstyle that ALS is looking for, its just not a good fit. i have never trolled anyone for changing servers, just as i wouldnt troll my real life neighbor for moving to a new city for a different job opportunity. ALS seriously weighed the options and made the decision based on the group goals and the desires of the other servers. It seems like it will be a good fit. if its not we will do our best to make the most of it.
i personally want to wish the best of luck to Anvil Rock and also our rival servers. i am here to enjoy the game to the best of my ability, and i hope you are all able to do so as well, regardless of the circumstances you are given.

thing is, unlike a lot of other servers we have a large server population, unfortunately none of them play wvw (at the moment). I think we just need to do some internal recruiting. i know not a lot of people on our server like that sort of thing but if we’re going to make it, we gotta get people interested in playing again. screw looking for handouts from anet and anet isn’t going to magically fix anything, so its either quit gw, transfer to win or fix it internally. hell we don’t even have a website… there’s more we could be doing.

BP please excuse our absence as we enjoy this wonderful new dungeon that ArenaNet has brought us. Do not worry though after we are done with that we shall gather your loot bags momentarily. Who knows we might even pull off what we pulled off with AR two weeks ago. I hope that is not part of the reason for AR server frustration though. I was just as surprised as you were.
What happened to the skirmish fighting? Seems SBI’s small teams seem to have evaporated. Last week we couldn’t flip one of your camps without an SBI presence. This week we have been flipping most without resistance and when we do see a group it is zerg-ish sized. I hope this change is a temporary one because last week we were having a blast squaring off against your skirmish teams. You look to be doing better in the open field and holding your keeps from what I hear though.
Kudos to the vT guild. Been getting some good fights from your members. Haven’t run into an organized group of them yet but the small pockets we have run into have fought well.
Sad to see ALS go from AR. I am sure it is going to hurt AR’s score since this seems to be one the larger organized WvW guilds on the server. Certainly going to lose some good fighters.
Anyway seems the large scale group fights are more competitive for everyone and hopefully my observations of decline on skirmish fighting are local to our guild and NA Prime.

No SBI small teams still exist. It is just not organized so they are on when they are on. If you are wondering about today specifically. I wonder why this really surprised you we said that we were a PvE server. It is called a PvE patch with a new dungeon. Don’t worry they shall be back momentarily.

Except you also forget that we were a PvE server that was Tier 1. We had a large group of both WvW and a large group that did PvE. Our WvW group mostly left. But right now there are still a small group that plays WvW only that knows Tier 1 tactics and teach it to the server.
In addition we are also a server that realizes that WvW is Guild Wars 2 Endgame. (It really is a stepping stone to sPvP Guild Wars 2 True Endgame. But that does not seem to happen so much.) A lot of us that do primarily PvE Myself included have achieved our primary goals in PvE and are now doing PvX which is primarily WvW except for patch weeks and guild events. That is why our population is so sporadic.
You also need to take into account that the ranking system was severely broken so we really did not fall as fast as we should have. Our ranking was highly inflated. I think it is getting close to where it should be now.
So to sum that up I guess we are technically a PvX Server but all PvX means is PvE level of caring about PvP but still do PvP on a off and on basis. I only know of two of our guilds that do WvW that are not PvE.

A lot further down? The server dropped 3 tiers in 5 weeks after everyone transferred out. It had been tier 1 for 14 weeks before that. IoJ was tier 1 once early on. GOM has never been above rank12. NSP never above rank 13.
How fast did you expect us to drop with the old system? It took SoS and CD teaming up against us to finally drop us below EBay before the system change.

While we have that topic in mind. In your opinion what do you consider BP to be? PvP, PvX, WvW? AR is a PvP server that is why they have such high ranking but can’t get much higher then what they are at. SBI is a PvX that allows us to have the ranking that we have we may go lower we may go higher.
I am mostly curious due to I wonder what ranks if ArenaNet opened up free transfers what ranks would work on the to/from servers.
I am thinking 1-4 could transfer to 16-24. I think rank 1-4 is way too unbalanced causing dissatisfaction among the playerbase.
I still think we are more PvE then PvP though.
On a side note it is sad that it looks like AR gave up the match. With them still playing we may have had a chance at winning this match up now I am not so sure. Because now not only do we have to keep you off our borderlands and attack yours we also have to steal the points that you are taking from AR and hope AR can defend them. Which normally would be fine however…. With the PvX players in PvE mode that decreases our chances.
Then again… Our server is a roller coaster ride so it may surprise me again.

I think ALS wanted to get out of that “always outmanned” situation and wanted to get into a more organized, evenly matched grouping. Whether they find that in T2 is anyone’s guess.
And I’m not giving up….yet. I hope Anet will evaluate our situation and even if they have to take an active hand in our grouping, “push” us down a tier or two so we can play a more evenly matched game.

I wish I could answer that, but as ALS so greatly pointed out before they transferred…im a “noob transfer who can’t hack losing/outmanned/being bad so I transferred” but in reality I’ve only been on BP since the week before random matches so I couldn’t tell ya, esper or Zara would have better insight

Just shave a few (hundred) thousand points off the rating so we align better w/ servers of equal WvW population and use that as a new starting point. Look at the rankings. Do you have any idea how long it will take the system to drop us 100k pts so we move down a tier? Too long….
Hold our thirds? You have no concept of just how outmanned (and disorganized) we are right now. Look at the map at the moment. We are off EB totally and have 1 tower on our BL. That’s all we can do! Thirds?!?! That’s not even possible if one of you (SBI or BP) wants to take something from us.

Hey, dunno if you guys read this thread, but I had fun dueling the BP thieves at windmill a little bit ago. We should set up a fight club tonight & get some more people than just us 3, I know some AR players would be interested. I’m thinking about 6 hours from now, SBI BL, windmill. Anyone welcome to come.

I call BS on the random stuff, we’ve sat in the same place since this supposed random roll was put in place, played pretty much the same people since it was put in place, I’ve written rng’s from scratch and can’t imagine what they’re using is anything close to random (end of rant).
