Those were my first posts in this thread, so if you want to let the forum warriors discredit an entire server, that’s your choice. There is no step back for me to take, I have not been offended by anything in this thread. Sure it’s only a game, but the people we deal with are real whether it’s through a screen or in person. When a real person treats you like dirt and an NPC treats you like dirt, it’s not exactly the same thing.

But as you said, anything you say won’t change my opinion of him either, in my eyes, he’s a drama creating kittenbag that tries to tear a community apart. Let me just say that just because I’m from Ebay, doesn’t mean I’m a troll or a forum warrior. So if you were thinking of responding with “You’re from Egobay so you have no right to talk about being a kittenbag.” Then don’t bother, I haven’t been a kitten to anyone yet and 3-4 people don’t speak for thousands of others.
Words don’t mean anything here. (Which is why I almost never post.) In the end, we’re just going to play a game and do what we enjoy doing, kicking each others kitten . If feeding trolls on the forums is what you enjoy doing than go for it, but don’t point the finger at me and all the others who are just playing to have fun because you fed a few trolls.
If you look at the start of this thread, the people I’m assuming your referring to as the “forum warriors” from ebay are actually the only ones talking on ebay’s side. Which leads us to assume these people were speaking on behalf of your server, which is something I believe a few dragonbrand members posted about. But that being said I’m glad to see that not all ebay members are like this, and it is possible to have a civilised conversation without it resulting to childish name calling, and circle logic.

I admit I may have fueled the trolls on this thread, and for that I apologise. I did get angry and you can see that in my first forum post on these forums back in page 4. That being said it seems the truer representative of the ebay server have showed up now, so I would like to ask why you didn’t step in earlier or deal with these “forum warriors” in private? I only ask because it was mentioned your a unified server now, so I would assume you would be able to persuade them into it.
I believe you have the wrong approach to the forums. Words can mean a lot, and evidently things can get VERY heated. But I’m going to reiterate, these forums are for constructive criticism, and all posts should be written and read accordingly.
Because it’s just a matchup thread. Almost every matchup thread will start off civil, then go down hill, then back up again. Not really a big deal.
So I’ve been looking for a way to kill DB players while roaming, and I’ll admit, it’s been really hard.
They’re either in the middle of the zerging or they’re super pro run away thieves and/or warriors.
But I’ve got it! The trick is, because the zerg is so single minded, they’ll actually leave their stragglers behind. So as they’re running to a new objective, you just pick off the people in the back.
Almost half of them will actually turn around and fight instead of try to limp along with the rest of their zerg.
So you’ve figured out a tactic that I’ve been using against servers for months.
This is not specific to DB, and I have caught many a EB/SoS player by doing the same thing, as I assure you that 99% of your thieves turn tail and peace out the second they realize I know how to kill screbthieves too.
PS: When I’m in WvW I almost exclusively solo roam, or roam with groups of 5 or less, and I almost always go to DB BL. I run from very few fights, if you show up in front of me with even numbers or just close to it, you’ll get the fight you’re looking for.

I have gained a lot of respect for SoS during our matchups, this being the second. I have lost a lot a respect for Ehmry Bay during this matchup, and the forums warriors are to thank. I know those trolls don’t speak for everyone, but they have pretty much sealed the deal if I every lose my mind and decide I want to transfer out of DB. I couldn’t stand to be in a community with such vocal individuals with so much ego and disrespect.

I went back and read the first page~ of this thread after I read that post and, I gotta say the people who don’t think the forum warrioring in this thread didn’t start from Ebay have very selective memories, or are just outright delusional.
So when ebay loses their entire BL to DB it’s “lack of coverage” but when SoS loses it all to DB it’s “sucks at defending their stuff”. Cool story bro.
Ask yourself a simple question: when Ehmry “loses their entire BL to DB”, what time is it?
Answer: It ain’t NA primetime. Ask DB what happened to the TG, rB, FIRE raid in our BL last night. They were all hunted down and massacred.
Ehmry has no problem defending its stuff when we are awake. I see SoS lose keeps in their BL when they have 50+ zerging around in Ehmry at Oceanic hours.
That’s not a coverage issue. That’s a defense issue.

To put light on my three recent posts in this thread as I am not here to be a forum warrior or trash talk (Well, I am not here to do it as my main activity. We have Jinks for that). I would like to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed this match up and, while not the funnest match up I have been in (Sorry guys, last week is the most fun I have ever had in WvW), it is in the top. There are a lot of good guilds on both servers we have faced this week and will continue to face until Friday. I have also seen some pretty cool tactics being employed by guilds on both sides.

There was a member of DB that posted a picture of patch day scores with DB dominating. He made reference to eBay having the lowest to try and rub it in our faces. That is what set me off and part of what set PenguiNet off.
A lot of negativity could have been avoided if he had not posted that picture.
Well, I don’t speak for all of Ebay, but my guild is loving this matchup against SoS, and DB. Hope to see a lot of you guys tonight!

Honestly I have had some great times playing against Ebay. During a slow night, Bounty Hunter and I invited some Ebays to our party and we hung out all night. I still talk to a lot of the people I met and they are really cool people. I have a friend in Rekz, PK and another one in a guild i cant remember :P. Sure, I see some negative statements coming from Ebay, but not everyone feels the same way as the few Forum Warriors that decided to post a comment. And of course they are gonna be saying that kind of stuff to us, because we are saying the same things back. In my opinion the people I met in Ebay are nicer than a bunch in DB. When I was with them, I was never attacked even though I was in their north camp the most of the night. When a few of us TG were having a fight club with Rekz and a few sos, a bunch of DB rolled in and proceeded to kill everyone. After I told them to stop attacking, they all messaged me saying “kitten you, fight me in spvp I’ll take you down noob.”
Don’t say I’m a DB traitor or anything now. I’ve been on Dragonbrand since the beginning and I love the server. What I’m trying to say is that not everyone from the other servers are as rude as you guys make them out to be. Its not fair to judge the whole guild/server based on what a few people said in the forums. Our server isn’t made of saints either so give the other guys a break.

I’m not much for forum trolling but I’m also not one to constantly dwell on minor issues like forum etiquette. I guess this issue only concerns people that hover the forums as much as they play the game but still, is it that big of a deal? It’s like seeing road kill on the side of the road and having some sort of emotional response that ends up ruining your whole day.
I’ll exempt SoS from this since I’ll just believe what they said about having a civil community, but I’m pretty sure every server has or had their own community trolls. They just don’t use the forums.

Perhaps you are unaware of the current meta in Forum Warrioring.

There is a reason we do not have a recruitment thread as a server. Most of us want nothing to do with with anything above t3. I personally think even t3 matchups are too zergy. I realize a concept like this may be difficult for a bandwaggon server such as DB to understand but these upper server truly do stink something awful.

Duel’s got a huge roster but most of the guild members stick to PvE and dungeons so I rarely get a chance to take a large amount of them into WvW.
If you’ve seen a Mesmer from Duel roaming around it was probably me. And to be clear (Just so people don’t come to post screenshot proofs of me lying if I ever 3v1 you or run away), I don’t roam around JUST looking for 1v1s. I go about my WvWing and flip camps, hit sentries and yaks, and scout enemy positions. But on the slow days where I’m just kittening around in DB BL after it’s turned green waiting for Invaders to show up, I will gladly entertain anyone that wants to come up and /bow.

No. I simply should have said that his post was the enabling one. The one that gave us the fuel to start talking. Had his not been posted, I and certain others likely would have stayed quiet. I represent 500 players, thank you. That’s not Ehmry Bay, just a guild. But it’s still a fair number of people you are lumping in to the mix when you judge us all as a server. They are players who you don’t see talking garbage here and probably have never heard of outside of the game – which, in this case, supports what I’m trying to say.

To back this up, a lot of us do not want to go higher than T4 and our major guilds are, to me, not ready for anything higher than T4 (Given online times, raid times, etc). Then we can talk about Ehmry’s lack of oceanic coverage.

There was a member of DB that posted a picture of patch day scores with DB dominating. He made reference to eBay having the lowest to try and rub it in our faces. That is what set me off and part of what set PenguiNet off.
A lot of negativity could have been avoided if he had not posted that picture.

No. I simply forgot to say that his post was the enabling one. The one that gave us the fuel to start talking. Had his not been posted, I and certain others likely would have stayed quiet. Since that post was made, we started talking. We are not the type to stay quiet and let trash talking thrive.
Do you honestly, in your very soul and heart, believe that forum warriors won’t forum war just because no one gave them a reason?

A certain amount of taunting goes on in these threads, I don’t consider it a bad thing, I consider it a manifestation of a competitive game.
The issue is that as soon as taunting starts there are people on the opposing team who want to act like someone just spat in their mother’s face, and then the actual malicious stuff comes out.

I agree. Lets hash out how SoS losing their BL to Db was lack of skill and how Ehmry Bay losing their BL was because they were under populated.
