Great fights on SoS/BP border today. had lots of fun. More fights tomorrow in game & not on forums.

In fairness, from our perspective, us holding and pulling people off of the BLs and into EB as the queue allowed simply to hold Overlook isn’t anything personal against you guys. We’re clearly just protesting the lack of mention of guild halls in ANet’s upcoming plans by turning it into our guild hall. Or something like that. I’m not sure. I’d been drinking when the plan was explained to me, it seemed like a great idea at the time and I’ve drank more since then.

Now if (no offence to you folks) we could just get a week against opposition in the same notional tier. :/

My best win by numbers thus far is a 1v3. Granted, I think they were just a trio of guild mappers, seeing as they were all the same guild, and their skill was questionable at best… From Kaineng no less, how rich is that? I almost felt bad for them, like I’d just done something awful, lmao!

It’s a living… I’ve taken up solo-camp capping and gate wrecking as a hobby. Can’t quite bring down the folks in tower lord’s singlehandedly yet though. Dunno if that’s just because my skill is lacking luster still or if it’s just the basic design of the thing.

Have yet to see any of ya’ll on the field. Then again, ample amounts of both servers have been on our map at just about all times so haven’t really had reason to leave our front lawn yet.

Got tired of looking over on the map and seeing so much purp… I have it my way, that waypoint in keep won’t last either. Tried for Veloka, but apparently your folks didn’t like my cata, yet could’nt come down to face me with anything less than five people (though they did try), rofl.

Edit: I see Borliss is now following suit as well, and has their keep back. No doubt they have bigger forces. Gods speed, BP.

Thank you sir , I’m really proud of borlis, we continue to improve and beating Ebay this week is a huge accomplishment seeing as we got crushed by you’s for what was it, 13 or 14weeks straight? x)

The week isn’t over yet. Also, if anybody else is also blindly unaware, EBay has like 70% of the WvW population of BP, and about 50% of CD…yet they refuse to fight eachother in their BLs.

Maybe it’s just this week because we were up against Zerg Coast last week. Who knows.

I have to agree on that first point, don’t get kitteny until it’s really over lol. I only see a lead of about 300 points on that board. If you’re looking to drive it home go for it, but no gloating just yet.

Now, having said that. I’m making no excuses, fact is so far that I’ve seen massive improvements from the BP homefront. Guess they just decided to start buying Wheaties and Myoplex by the crate, lol. Have I seen us being a bit lax? A little bit. I’ve seen folks in lounging in LA during times they probably shouldn’t have been. WvW does not come with a ball and chain though last I checked, so you work with what you got. And currently what we got is gettin’ sacked lol.

No excuses, no apologies, no kitten. Borliss, way to step it up. This match-up has been a constant tug-o’-war between us, and you have proven yourselves a worthy adversary.

Borlis Pass has improved a lot in the past few months. I give a lot of the credit to the leaders on our server who have worked hard to improve communication and cooperation between our commanders and guilds. They have taken what I saw as largely a PUG server and got everyone organized, improved communication with a server TeamSpeak, made an effort to teach people where to place siege and how to use field tactics, and improved upon our map strategy. We have also seen the addition of new commanders who have learned quickly and are doing well to gain notoriety, and a few guilds have transferred to our server to help fill in some gaps in coverage.

All of that has really polished our game and given us greater resolve. However, the thing that’s not as obvious, and what I feel has really made all of this possible, is the strong community that BP is building. People are generally helpful and cooperative and at least from my perspective there is an importance placed on respecting one another.

Borlis Pass will continue to grow stronger as long as it retains that kind of character.

Impressed with some of the solo/skirmish skills coming out of SoS. Some of those fellows from Bane are really good fighters. Two of us were chasing two SoS after a failed garrison attack on our BL and had the fight won but got sloppy and a sword thief clocked us both mid stomp. I won’t let our support guardian live that one down. I hope it was an isolated incident from that one group defending Foghaven on reset.

GH… I have a lot of respect for your guild but surprised to see gloating post fight. Having 20 guys wreck a couple of us then corpse dance is out of character. I know it is part of the game but surprised to see skill groups doing that sort of stuff.

You play for BP………you really expect respect after you get killed by Ebayers???

From most other guilds, I actually take it as a mark of pride that I irritated someone enough to warrant a little dance.

In this case I am surprised GH behaved this way. Based on my experience they do not gloat. It is a game, it happens all the time from all servers but still after all these weeks fighting each other this is the first time I have seen corpse dancing/laughing from their guild especially from so many. I am hopeful it was limited to the group during their defense of Foghaven on our BL during reset.

What did we learn from TC exactly? How to send a 100 man zerg to take every supply camp? Seriously though I guarantee TC learnt as much from us as we did from them, though granted in different areas. Every tier has its own meta and posts telling others to learn from our meta when it doesn’t necessarily apply to or work for them are kinda pointless. Everyone should be learning something new every week regardless of opponents but only what works TC are a great server that still manages to do a hell of a lot of dumb things that we would be foolish to imitate. eBay were kind enough to reveal a treb sniping spot under cliff side to me today. Thanks! That’s my new tactic for the week.

Let’s not bring up our oceanics again we all knew the outcome of the matchup. I am surprised about the NA timezone though. EB was a lot stronger last time we met them with CD or TC I think. I am not sure how 1 guild leaving has hurt them so much. Regardless of score SoS has always tried to focus on our home borderland and focus on fights. Ebay and Borlis are a good balanced matchup, drama aside. As much as we (apparently) hate each other (not that I personally have been around yet to even know what on earth caused the two of you to hate each other so much…) – we have very close scores – You can’t deny that our matchup is very close.

It’s been a good match so far. Hopefully you’ll all learn from the tactics SoS has been using and better coordinate yourselves for next week. With a little practice. You’ll sure do better! TC showed us that and now look where we are!

What did we learn from TC exactly? How to send a 100 man zerg to take every supply camp?

Firstly, 100 is over the population limit of 1 server per map. Secondly, you don’t send many people to a supply camp to be sure to take the camp, but to supply up the whole zerg.

EB was a lot stronger last time we met them with CD or TC I think. I am not sure how 1 guild leaving has hurt them so much.

Its more than one Guild that left. Last week VS (30ish?) left in the middle of the night to a Tier 7 or 8 server. Between the two, we lost a decent amount of people who were organized.

I think quite frankly it’s not that EB has lost guilds, but more so that it is summer time.

Most of us have been playing WvW for 8 months straight. The weather is beautiful, people are on vacation; it’s time for a break.

Sure, losing two guilds hurts numbers-wise, but EB is resilient. We’ll be back up where we were before.

Thanks, Saruon! Hawk had a really fun time battling Agg in our BL yesterday. If I may ask, how many numbers were you running at your peak last night? We were really impressed by your coordination and tight teamwork. That’s something we’re building towards, so we were definitely taking notes!

Hope to run into you folks some more this week. It’s really good practice for our group.

Its a shame how BP and Ehmry have to keep fighting each other rather then SoS. This morning the plan was to clean SoS out from our Borderlands so we could hit SoS borderlands while we had initiative. Instead Ehmry kept trying to back cap all our stuff. They died repeatedly doing it. I’m sure it drove you guys nuts to be wiped twice in the Lords room of Cragtop and 5 times at Hills. Unfortunately the constant back and forth kept us tied up for 2 hours. I’m sure SoS was sad too. Looked like Ranger Mich was all set for an epic fight for the Briar tower, and I would have obliged you Mich, but every time I got around to moving towards Briar Ehmry would try and flip hills from behind us. Can understand why of course, at this point Ehmry just does not want to lose to us again, but man it was annoying. Which is probably the point now that I think about it
